Joking aside, it would be nice to have some clarification as to whether this was a generic multiplayer thread or an FPS thread. If the former, I submit that I do sometimes play Brawl online with CAA members. I'm usually available for Brawling if you see me in chat (though I won't be brawling online this week). If the latter...well, the closest I get to an online FPS has been TF2 on the PS3, and I don't think that's very good for impromptu friend matches.

On the other hand, if this is a thread about FPSes in general, and you really mean the classic N64 Goldeneye 007...well, that's awesome. Although I doubt it is feasible for us to set up a match with that game.

okay Fixed. It's now a general multiplayer thread. Sorry about the confusion, though I do admit that Snake is one of the characters I use in Brawl XD.

As far as the goldeneye game, well there is a goldeneye 007 game out for the wii now with online play. I just got it and it's really fun.

Ah, I was under the impression I wouldn't like the Wii Goldeneye because of its regenerating health, but upon reading the review, I see that their "007 Classic" mode will be just what I want. I don't know how that would affect multiplayer matches though--in the original, the fact that there were health bars meant if you just barely scraped out of a fight you'd die in the next one, so it provided some balance that way; however there was also a balance problem where if you camped on the armor, you were almost invincible. Based on your experiences of the Wii game, would you say the multiplayer is well-balanced?

I'd say yes. There are some changes to it but it's nothing to deter you from the gameplay. As you said there is regenerating health, but I'd say that's a good thing now that the armor is gone, which means no more camping on the armor. Also, if you don't like campers you can modify it in the game setup stage to have it eliminate players that are standing still for too long. There are several modifications that you yourself have the choice to change on the local multiplayer to modify it to how you like it.

Also In the classic mode is the Classic Bond characters you can play as. For some they have special weapons that take place of gernades that most of the other characters can throw. (for example Oddjob throws his hat, which is quite satisfying to use when you successfully kill someone with it.)

The Online mode is a bit Call of Dutyish which you can grow in levels, which unlocks weapons and gadgets (the Bond equivalent of perks from Call of Duty)

The different types of mines that were normally weapons now go under the category of gadgets, and there are 3 gadget types of which you can have one gadget from each type.

Over all it's really fun especially the local multiplayer because of it's slight difference between what's usually out there and reminds you a bit more of the classic bond. :3

I recently got my trouble with Xbox Live sorted out, and I recently got a gold account, so I've been there for almost 24 hours and have been playing COD: Black Ops multi-player till its coming out of my ears.

I'm not good at traditional FPSers. I had the demo for Battlefield: Bad Company when it first came out. The controls were pretty good. Fast forward to a week ago. I bought a used copy for ten bucks. I'm playing that right now.
My xboxlive name is my name here but with "heavy" in front. I have already preordered the Conduit 2. It looks like they learned from the last game. I hope it is good as it looks.

now that all the holiday stuff is passed and I got my goldeneye game back I'll post up my friend codes for my Wii games with my new game I got for christmas included. Does anyone else have tatsunoko vs. capcom?

I play smash bros. brawl, my friend code is the same as Kouga's since we play on the same wii ^_^

I also play World of Warcraft. I play on the Cairne realm, and the two characters that I get on most of the time are Foxmccloud and Makuraudo.
