The Webforum is in Flames

It is the 21st Century. For more than a decade, the CAA server has sat in its rack. It is the master of this forum by the will of Mith and the master of many threads by the might of its inexhaustible hardware. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from The Dark Age of the Internet. It is the Carrion Lord of CAA for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day Mith works his mysterious techno-magic on, so that it may never truly die.
Yet even in its deathless state, the CAA Server continues its eternal vigilance. Many spiders search through its pages for relevant search terms. Their way lit by the general programing and keywords, all manifestations of the former posters on the boards. An occasional member returns to see if this website is still here before retreating to the discord server to report the results. Cursing them because it means they won’t collect on the ongoing betting pool about when the CAA server will finally go kaput. The occasional new member pops up hoping to start a conversation before fading into the recesses of the internet after receiving a handful of replies.
To be a member in such times is to be one amongst none. It is to live in the cruelest reality of a web forum: nostalgia and boredom. These are the memes of those times. Forget the funny cats, gifs and silly faces of Discord. Those don’t exist here unless you take the time to write out the HTML line to link them from another site. Forget the posting in the Corrupted Wish thread. Forget the occasional thread about whether a certain anime shouldn’t be watched by Christians because of its slightly pagan content. In the grim dark future of CAA, there is only Peanut.
And the mods hidden in the background who are going to ruin this joke post I’ve been sitting on for literal years by posting in this thread.
