Christian techno

Postby VashTheStampede » Sat Sep 20, 2003 2:51 pm

For all of youclub goers and dance fanatics out there, there is a really cool Christian techno artist named Andy Hunter? Ever heard of him? But yea, if you like break-beat techno, trance-dance, and industrial styles, you really should look into him. He's a great artist and above all, it's Christian music! :cool: Lol, that is a big plus for me, since most club music that I hear in nightclubs is not exactly the best stuff in the world. But yea, if anyone else out there knows of more Christian techno Djs, lemme know!

Happy raving!

How would you guys define Christian techno. i've heard some before but it was just singing in front of a beat, without the characteristics of real electronica. and is there something i don't know about electronica, everytime i'm at the christian youth group and they say "what music you like?" and I say "electronica" and they always end up frowning. ????

I heard A.J Amora at IYC(my church's International Youth Conference) and bought his CD there. I'd call it house, but I'm not that up on the definitions. He's real down to earth and does a lot of outreach. He used to be in the secular group that did the "Jump Everybody" that alwasy gets palyed at basketball games.

I dunno much about any techno, much less Christian techno ^^;

I like Joy Electric, but they're more like...electronica than techno. All they use is an analog synthesizer, no turntables or drum machines or nothin'.

Someone else that was good was Cloud 2 Ground, but I dunno if they still make music or not.

As for other techno-y stuff, I like DJ Tiesto a lot. He's not a Christian artist, but it's mostly just instrumentals anyway, so...yeah. I'll be shocked if anyone's heard of him ^^;

I love Christian "techno" although I tend to refer to it as dance music. There's a good site - http://www.tastyfresh.com - where a lot of Christian artists and fans hang out and chat. Their community is great and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Here's a short list of UK stuff anyways

Raze ... Mizzy was awesome (the one with the pink hair). I listened to the first Raze cd way too many times. I've heard rumors as to why they broke up, but nothing concrete. Anyone know what really happened?
