Seeking Jazz / Hiphop / Christian - LIL HELP

Postby Reon » Wed Mar 17, 2010 3:41 am

I'm seeking Christian alternatives to the following songs / bands.

The most accurate words I find to describe the music is a mix of hip-hop with jazz (and of course being Christian). Here's the song examples.

Myspace playlist of songs: http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.singleplaylist&friendid=73930390&plid=547616

You got Shinsight Trio / Music from NAPHTA - Funky DL / and Uyama Hiroto

Here's a video on youtube of Uyama Hiroto's music, hits another one of the styles I'm looking for

Now if you find me legitimate Christian alternatives I'll pry reward you.
Not talking Tobymac/Lacrae, the music I'm looking for has a Jazzy / Classical feel but still fits under Hip hop and Christian.

Othello

I think you'd really enjoy his stuff, especially "Elevator Music."

I am convinced that many men who preach the gospel and love the Lord are really misunderstood. People make a “profession,â€

Hm I got some hip hop artists you may like, dunno really what kind of hiphop it is but I thinks its called lyricalism or something, anyway here's some artists I'd really recommand - Deepspace 5, Braille, Mars Ill, Sev Statik, Kj-52, Strange Fruit Project to name a few. I got alot more hip hop artists which I could recommand but this is the ones that I find closest to what seems to be you're taste. They can all be found on spotify if you got that btw. :) *Top songs: Braille - The IV (Cannot be found on spotify), Mars Ill - Reach, Sev Statik - Eternal* They are all christians of course! :):)

*edit* Pigeon John too, forgot to mention him. His abit jazz / hiphop I think! :)
