Hello, I am currently working on a comic, and here is a thing I wrote this morning, and I wonder what you think of it... The comic will start with these words:

"The 4th dimention, the spiritual realm, it has always been there affecting our lives, we have just not been able to see it... ...until now.

The two worlds are melding, as the end is closing in on us all, and so, Satan and his demons are getting desperate, they know that they are losing the war. Our time is running out, and we have to save as many as we can...

I take this short brake from the battles and pray to you, Lord of all creation.

Watch over us..."

So, what do you think, I like it, I just have to make sure everyone else does so too

Hate to be a nit-pick...but isn't the fourth dimension time? IMO, I'd move it to the fifth, but it's your comic.

Likewise, I'd suggest making the spiritual dimension the fifth. All of our numbering is somewhat arbituary, but most people do accept the fourth as time.

Other than this, I feel your idea is good. Unfortunately, I'd have to know specifics before I could tell you if I felt it was theologically acceptable. At the moment, I'd advise you to go for it.

Well, maybe "most" of them doesn't even believe in the spiritual realm...
I believe that if everyone knew that the spiritual realm existed, that would become the fourth and time the fifth...
after all, you can affect the spiritual world, you cannot affect time... so time should be above the dimension of our souls...

My hope is to actually change peoples oppinion on wether souls, angels and demons really exist...

That's logical enough.

However, I would have another caution. Ensure that the theological view of angels, demons and souls is an accurate one. Almost everyone believes in a noncorporal existence of some sort, and many believe in angels and demons; these people are not Christian. Unless you promote a Christian view of such things, your project will not have the same effects.

Of cource my aproach to the spiritual world will be more like "This present darkness" than "Buffy and the vampyres"

Well, it is good you use that model. Both books of the series were good. But who is doing the fighting, angels or humans? Are demons now allowed to directly affect the world? I'm not speculating so much as asking for more details. This comic could be good.

Fungus, there are a few really interesting books you can check out to help you with your story. Ironically enough, both are called "Angels A to Z". They give Biblical background for angels and demons that appear in the Bible, as well as the angels/demons/concepts of Hebraic folklore. I don't know the authors offhand, but I'll get them to you if you want.

By the way, I know this sounds really pedantic/pretentious, but I always heard that the fifth dimension was cause and effect. Going with that (and this is just a suggestion, mind you), maybe you could make the Spiritual World the seventh dimension for symbolic purposes, or perhaps make the demonic realm the sixth and the angelic realm the seventh?

Well, at least in my story, nether angels or demons ar good at affecting the physical world, but they get better all the time. And in H:C, angel are not allowed to hurt humans in any way, but they are better at fighting demons "hand to hand" than humans are... this is why angels and humans team up, so that they can fight the humans who are possesed by demons...

This is ment to be highly fictional, and comic like, as you can see in my conceptart below... those are a little bit old, but still quite accurate...
