I wish to be an immigrant who,

with hammer and chisel made

symbol of hammer and sickle, no more.

To stand upon the hated wall

and rip free the foundations

to tear aside division

To be among the joyous crowd

crying out "Die Mauer ist gefallen!"

What glory would that be

to stand in such a storied crowd

and make the defiant cry resound

around the world!

I know a lot less than I probably should about the Berlin Wall and this makes me want to go read up about it. (Whether I actually will it is another matter.) Compared to some of your others that I've read (none of the more recent ones though) this has a nice even flow and constant idea throughout, which is totally appropriate given the topic. I particularly like the line "to stand in such a storied crowd".
