For Madness or for Life

Postby Jaltus-bot » Fri Nov 12, 2004 3:10 pm

I will likely add more to this poem, but here is what I have so far. (Yeah, I know it's pretty long.)

Darken the earth
Beneath the half born moon
Noon stars still shine
Tonight the night is mine

Dance with the ravens
And sing with the stars
Forever will come
Wherever you are

Down from the stars
Down to the dark
Down to the depths
Down to madness

In a world of darkness
Nothing ever can forgive
The madness won’t let go
Emptiness fills your soul

Then darkness grabs your heart
And throws it on the ground
There’s nothing left to live
And nothing left to love

The darkness takes its toll
An empty existence
Hallow and alone
Through eternity

All the dark chaos
Of your soul congest
Spinning sweet poisons
Of suffocation

Such a harsh force
Still holding fast
Dizzying to the soul
A weight upon your chest

A sticky despicable mess
Of sin and untold darkness
One day all this madness
Won’t ever let you go

All things now exposed
Seen in light of day
Truth is the only hope
Against insanity

Madness seen in the mirror
Darkness shows in dawns new light
All things now seen
For what they are

What was it for?
For you or me?
A sickness that won’t let go
From deep within the soul

Light reveals all
Night now seen as night
And sin now as sin
Evil as evil

Now aimlessly
In hallow existence
Gasping for life
Was it worth it?

Without a point or purpose
Sweet darkness doesn’t satisfy
Devoid of meaning
Desperate for hope

Madness clears with the dawn
Days new light reveals all
Why won’t you see?
Now won’t you change?

There is more to life than this
Living without a purpose
Now won’t you see
And won’t you change?

Madness takes its toll
But it’s still a choice
More than darkness
Can rule your soul

Leave now forever
Before it’s too late
And your mind is ravaged
And soul consumed

Leave this sticky mess
For eternity
Is it worth it?
What is it for?

Dark fades forever
Cut off from all life
Eternity of death
A painful existence

Living as the night
Hiding from the day
Won’t you see you must change?
There’s more to life than this

Hopeless and alone
Icy chills of despair
It does not have to be
Change now while you still can
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.
