this thread isn't only for me, but also for anyone else that has just one poem or short story that they want to share, but don't want to start a thread just for their one writing, and i'm going to start it off with a poem that i wrote not that long ago, i hope you enjoy

Here I'll Stand
You may not know,
or even care
but here i will stand
with my soul bare

Indeed like a rock
planted in the earth
here i will stand
until the new earth

If God calls me away,
late i can't be
for He is the king
and His knight i'll be

This is the one,
yes this is the reason
that i will stand
through every season

My heart's not the best
i know i've failed
but i can stand
because He was nailed

on the cross so rugged
He looked on with love
and stood upon the nails
to bring life from above

my orders are clear
i will stand in the light
and though the pain is great
i pray for His might

so here i will stand
held up by His grace
until its my end
or i see His face...
