Jim Attempts Poetry

They made us write a poem for school. Here's mine. I've never written poetry before so it only like half rhymes. XD

My Dream
- Jim Rogers

My dream is not a fortune, fancy car, or mansion
My dream is not recognition, status, power, or position
My dream is not to gain all the treasures of this world
My dream is not to chase all these momentary things

I want to live for what truly matters
I want to live for something more
I want to walk the path less traveled
To be part of something greater than myself

You may think that I am crazy
You may think I've tossed my life away
But these things no longer matter to me
Life is short, and they quickly pass away

I want to do something that will last eternally
Even if it costs me myself and everything

"He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose"

Good poem and thank you I've been looking for the name behind my sig for a while.
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.
What does it profit a man to gain the World yet lose his soul.
Choose Life that you Might live.
