My first song.

Postby Uriah » Fri Nov 18, 2005 8:38 pm

This song just sortof came to me one day, and I wrote a guitar tab to go with it. I'm hoping I can get one of my friends to play/sing it with me(I do a scream type thing under my breath, and my friend sings a little more melodicly.)..We're trying to start a worship band at our youth group. however I doubt the one in charge will accept this song.. everything has to be happy-go- lucky and newsboys-ish for him.. Anyways, feedback would be appreciated, does it suck or rule? So... here it is.. It's a pretty slow song, so it's longer than it looks.

I'm drowning In this sea
I've burned my hands with bleach
From the light you reach
Down to me.

My walls covered with grease.
My filth, it fills this place
A cleansing fire you bring.
Into Me.

I fall onto my knees
By you I am redeemed
Though so unworthy
By you I am recieved.

From this blackened place
By you I am retrieved
Your love, it eminates
As you destroy my hate.

Whoa. That's really good. Such an awesome message. I'd love to hear it! I'm sure it sounds cool.

Perhaps if the songs works out we can record it. I'm hoping to get a bass and piano in there too.

So in times when all your hope is gone
And you go through life afraid
In your heart there lies a hopeful song
That is there to guide the way
And all the hurt and all the pain
You soon will learn was not in vain
For all your prayers, they will be heard
They'll come to pass through faith

Very beautiful song, I love it!

I would certainly like to hear it with the music. Your message is good, although some of your imagery is difficult to figure out.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
