Scattered Feathers
PostPosted: Fri Jun 02, 2006 2:19 pm
Well, here are writings which all tie into each other, that I well...wrote. I wrote most of it at once, but some stuff came after. It's all one poem in my mind though.
By the way, the places where I put anything in these ( ) Means its not appart of the original poem, but things I'm putting as I write it down for you.
The Overall Poem is called: "Scattered Feathers."
"Requim for Rivendell"
(Or, Part 1:Crow)
"I cry bitterly, O so bitterly, watching the last Homely House burn, the elves fleeing
into the night as the trees burn brightly. "Brother, Help me!" I shout, my voice echoing into the night. ALone I am, like Tineuviel, laying straddled on a mound of earth, naked and lost in the darkness, the
darkness of my mind...
"Burning Soul"
(Or, Part 2: Storm)
Here I die, Dieing alone, starving for Mercy. I...Burn, crying out for my flaming desires to be sated,
raging fires to be exstinguished. Cast me gently into the night, for the light has been unkind.(My soul, that is were able to see the light without burning!) Take me to a place so holy...that I can wash this from my mind...
"The Scattered remains of what once were Wings"
(Or, Part 3:Raven)
The Clouds rain greyfeathers, to show the wings of a wounded angel. Once they were white to reflect God's glory, each feather a shining Jewel. Now they are tainted with the black blood of demons, with disconsolation and the rape of innocence. Once, these were wings, to lift one to the Sky. Now they are Broken bones and Scattered(Or maybe Shattered? Glass wings do that, you know) feathers, the price of a Life. He gave his wings for her, giving up the right to fly so that she could taste Life. he lies Battered, scarred and naked, Broken under an unforgiving Sky. His blood nourishes the land, and souls are born where his feathers fall, each one reflecting his broken thoughts, showing him a scattered bird. The crow(e)s come and mock him, pecking, clawing, jeering as they screech their hellish litany. And suddenly...."
"Redemption"
(Or, Part 2 of 3:Raven)
"It Rains, Tears from heaven, touching his face, cleansing him of the blood and mud. The Crow(e)s scream for each drop that touches them, revealing their impurities to the eyes of the world(No, to the eyes of heaven. May heaven stand in judgement over their sins!) They melt away as the wounded angel crys, whilst all of creation(And the Creator) weeps with him..."
And The Angels Were Silent.
Or Will I Sleep In Obscurity?
