The Liar XIII's **Official** Song Thread!

Postby The Liar XIII » Fri Feb 27, 2009 11:27 am

This will be the resting place for all my new masterpieces. ;)
Making individual threads for new songs is just wasting valuable space! Better condensed into one thread.

Remember, If you have an idea: Post it here!

Not 10 minutes ago I got this one written up. I like to base my songs on a story or the basic idea of another song, even the composition! For this one, I was thinking of "Love Hurts" by Nazareth and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
It's entitled You're My Everything.

You’re My Everythin’
Written by Jonathan Sheaves

~Interlude~

Remember the time,
When I was eight,
And you were nine;
And we would play along,
With the game that everybody played.

Remember that day,
That cold winter morning day,
The sun was bright,
Everything was alright,
What a beautiful sight,
when we would.

Bridge:
Dance in the summer’s rain,
Lose to The Devil’s game,
And we. Would. Lose ourselves in laughter,
Remember that time?
Don’tcha remember that time?
Oh, won’tcha be mine?

Chorus:
Baby I’m there for you,
Through thick and thin,
When the boys go out and play,
When the parade begins.

And, baby, I want you to know;
You’re my everythin’.
You’re my everythin’;
And I love you.

Remember that time,
When I was the paper,
And you were the lines;
Writing words of love,
On eachother’s hearts.

Remember that day,
When I said, “C’mon let’s play”,
And you said no,
And I was broken hearted.
(Broken Hearted!)

We would.

Bridge

Chorus

~Solo~

Bridge

Remember that time,
When you were my:
Valentine,
And loved me ever so much,
Gave me that loving touch,
When we would.

Bridge

Chorus

~Fadeout and repeating of Bridge~

Last night, while flicking through the channels on my satellite, I seen a show entitled Friday Night Lights, and I thought about it and said it'd make a great title for a song about how fame and fortune, glamour and glitz, money and wealth, etc. can change a person. So, I present: Friday Night Lights
I based some of it off of "L.A. Woman" by The Doors, "Not Now, John" by Pink Floyd, and "Break on Through" by The Doors. Also, if you can find it, there is a reference to "The End" by The Doors. ;)

Friday Night Lights
Written by Jonathan Sheaves

Drama queens,
Limousines,
Day dreams,
Movie scenes.

Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust,
Making money,
From dawn to dusk.

Bridge:
Let those lights shine bright,
Interfere with my life,
Paparazzi,
(Magazines)
Glamour and Glitz,
Make the scene.

Chorus:
Friday Night Lights,
Let ‘em shine,
Let ‘em shine,
Fame and Fortune,
It’s all mine,
It’s all mine,
Friday Night Lights,
Let ‘em shine,
Let ‘em shine,
Fame and Fortune.

Commit crimes,
Squeezin’ limes,
Fancy Wines,
New York Times.

Ride the snake,
Baby, ride the snake,
Make ‘em cry,
Truth or lie.

Bridge

Chorus

~Solo~

Weathering to the bone,
Weathering to the bone,
Rolling on,
The rolling stone.

~Solo~

Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
(Let ‘em Shine)
Friday Night Lights,
(Let ‘em Shine)
Friday Night Lights,
(Let ‘em Shine)
Friday Night Lights,
(Let ‘em Shine)
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,
Friday Night Lights,

~Solo~

Friday Night Lights,
Distorting Reality,
Fame and Fortune,
Was never meant to be.

My new little bugger.
It's about this reoccurring dream this character is having where he is met by a beautiful woman who basically keeps him alive. He lives and breaths for this fictional woman of his own creation. It's pretty risque.
Credit to rocklobster for the spelling of Begonias. lol.
It is inspired by a poem I wrote entitled "Every Cold Rainy Night", "Night Woman" by Nazareth, and "Twentieth Century Fox" by The Doors.

Blushing Begonias
Written by Jonathan Sheaves

Psychedelic sunlight beams over the land,
The small heart-shaped locket hangs lose in my hand,
She came from the distance, with moonlight in her grasp,
She took me from nothing, to a man with a choice.

She wore a sequin dress,
Laced with lament,
Love and Luxury,
What an easy payment.

Bridge:
Come to me,
Into my dreams,
Where the sun and moon make brilliant love,
And where the grass is green.

Pink, scarlet, blue, to me it was all the same,
“No sense of colour,” she muttered, “What a shame.”
She opened my eyes and she showed me the way,
Leave all my troubles and worries for the man in the skies.

She wore a sequin dress,
Laced in lament,
Love and Luxury,
What an easy payment

Bridge

Chorus:
Blushing Begonias,
Dancing in the sun,
She is walking wonder,
Walking grace,
Took the pale discouragement from my face.
Blushing Begonias,
Dance with me and my love,
Let us dance to the melodies of the heavens above,
Where we will all meet again some warm sunny day.

~Piano Solo~

Her hair was long, coloured with sin and happiness,
Her smile was like the ending success to evaporate sadness,
Oh, Yes, I knew it was never meant to be,
Laying alone in the Blushing Begonias, wanting to be free.

Bridge

Chorus

~Piano Solo and Fade Out~
