hi this is based off of Rurouni Kenshin... hope ya like! First fanfic so wish me luck!!!
The crescent moon peaked over the horizon. The sky stayed ignited in the dark. Sano rubbed his belly, emitting a burp, "Good beef pot, especially since it was free." He laughed at the expression the owner of the akobeko would give him.
The moon illuminated the road before him. He smiled. the gang would be waiting for him.
He turned down an alley way, a shortcut to the Kaoru's dojo. He stopped.
Boxes piled high near him, began to topple. Sano jumped out of the way, and stepped back, fists raised.
A girl emerged, shoving boxes aside. Her face did not register the pieces of wood scraping her legs and cutting more of her Kimono off. She held a katana in her left hand, bloodied. She remained expressionless even after grabbing Sano's jacket and falling to her knees, her black hair covering her face.
Sano knelt and grab her shoulders, "Miss. Hey, missy!" She did not respond, she fainted. He laid her down and checked for wounds. Blood gushed from her side.
Sano put her on his shoulders and began to run. I should go to the doctor. He jumped over the fallen boxes and down another alleyway. No! Megumi's at the dojo, I'll go there. Sweat poured down his face as he reached the doors that led into the Kamiya Kasshin dojo.
He punched through the doors and ran in. "Megumi! Megumi!"
Megumi and Kenshin met him outside the main room. "Sano, what-" Kenshin began then noticed the girl. So did Megumi, "Bring her in." She rolled up her sleeves.
"Sir Ken," Kenshin broke his stare of the girl, "I need boiled water, a knife, thread and bandages. Hurry!"
"Right," he stared at the girl once more and ran to get the supplies. Sano filled in Megumi as he put the girl on a mat.
Megumi opened the kimono as Sano turned away. She covered her with a blanket exposing only the wound, "Tch, this isn't good."
Sano looked at the wound, her side competely covered with blood.
Kenshin walked in with the supplies. Megumi took them," Get Kaoru." She pressed hard on the wound to stop the bleeding.
Sano followed Kenshin out, woke Kaoru and sat on the steps, watching her run to megumi.
Kenshin remained silent, his sword on his shoulder.
Sano turned to him, "What is it?"
Kenshin didn't look up, "The girl's wound. It is done by a slash, particular to samurai, elite samurai. It is a slash that causes much bleeding though it is not deep and hits the kidney in a certain area. Extremely difficult to dodge, even harder to block. Now I have to wonder what a young girl like her has to do with such a group of samurai."
"Perhaps she was attacked. Rapists maybe."
"No, it is more then that. She has calluses on her hand, so she knows the sword. According to the bruises and scars on her body, she has been in many life and death battles and it is obvious that she has never killed before."
"oh and why do you say that?"
"She would have bandaged her wound, cleaned her sword and then continued walking."
Sano remained silent.
"There is something else that troubles me."
"what?"
"Why did she kill tonight?"
Sano sat back.
Kenshin looked up, "Something is different about that girl. Something very odd."
Sano looked up towards the crescent moon. It began its descent below the horizon.
MORE LATER!
