My Testimony.

Postby Machinehead » Fri Dec 26, 2003 8:36 pm

I grew up in a Christian home, you know, church on sundays, stuff like that. Around the age of 9 we stopped going because my folks started to work alot more. Well, I found church boring in the first place.

Well, a few years later we go back for one day, and I meet the youth pastor. I go to a youth church that night and I was blown away when I heard of how we can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I never learned any of this. It was amazing.

After one night after Rush Week (Which is a week full of stuff at my Youth Church), I was saved by Christ. It was amazing, and I was so thirsty for the word of God. When I first got my bible, I found myself reading nearly 10 chapters a night, and I still do. It's amazing what the power of Christ can do.

And that's my story.

Hi, you're new. Welcome to CAA. I like your avatar and sig. Also, welcome to the family. ^_^ It is neat and amazing what the power of Christ and His Spirit running through you can do. Amen. ^^ I love to read stories like this.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
