I have been having a hard time remembering the ones we have learned before, so I think I'll try writing them down as often as I can here:

One thing that I appreciate about memorizing all of Psalm 1 is that you get some context. It really annoys me when verses are taken out of context. There was this one time when the memory verse for the occasion (I don't remember what the instance was) was Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." So anyway, my point is that I am very glad that we are memorizing chunks, not little pieces.

I also like memorising in chunks because it means less references to remember I've found that I can memorise the verse fine, but I can't remember where it is! And yes, I agree with you about taking verses out of context.

This verse is rather interesting for me... I've been praying for awhile now for God to cleanse me and transform me into His likeness... but in this verse, it shows how we have a role to play in that transformation. Interesting eh?
