What does it mean?

I was laying outside when God suddenly talked to me. He said, "don't you dare hide from me." I don't get it. Any ideas of what this might mean? It's been bothering me.

Do you know how sometimes lovers say, "Don't you dare run away from me?" It's an expression of love and vulnerability...how much they will pursue you to catch you. It certainly could be God expressing His love for you. I know I've felt that certain of times. Recall the "Oh where I can I hide from you?" verse.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing unless the Holy Spirit convicts your heart about certain things in life that you haven't surrendered yet.
