Zion, my point was that if palpy looks worse in ep. III than he does in ep. VI (years and years later), people are going to be like... that must have been quite a face-life 0_o

Ahhh, I see (on both of the previous posts). Well, skin-wise he does look better than Jedi, his teeth might be a different story. Of course, as Emperor of the galaxy I'm sure you can get a good dental plan. ^_^

Oh, and this just in from the Official Site:

lol, yeah, I see what you mean... speaking of dental, I have these miserable rubber band things I have to put on my braces and they are really getting on my nerves, thankfully though, I am almost ready to have them taking off completely. I say that is a great idea for a punishment in the judicial system, "the defendant is setenced to 7 years of wearing annoying braces and rubber-bands!" "NO PLEASE, I WANT THE LIFE SENTENCE, ANYTHING BUT THAT!!"... but that's another story... anyway, yeah, he does look alot less healthy in that than in ep VI: ROTJ...

Alright, I thought I'd do this since we were discussing the subject. Below I present you the progression of Emperor Palpatine through time, with pictures from Episodes One, Three and Six.

Regarding the office fight, Sam Jackson said himself that his character would kick the bucket in episode 3. He also said that his character goes down in a "blaze of glory" whatever that means

Zion, how can that pic be from episode I?

And yes it will be interesting to see how cheesy they make m.w.'s death scene

Interesting. I liked Mace Windu as a character. This movie has a chance to have a multitude of quality fight scenes... or a bunch of cheesy death scenes. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the former.

Well, yeah....I was a tad wrong on that point. It was made during or around Episode One, a publicity shot or some such, but I thought it gave a better shot of sidious than any with his eyes shadowed from the movie itself.

I hope Windu's deather scene is like Maul's death. No fluff, quick, and easy.

"yeah mean Jango Fett, Boba is a little boy in Ep II, and Boba lives through to ROTJ, soi think you mean Jango, not Boba.

and I think it sucks, but whatever, ya know, I think it is fun in its own way and all, but I just prefer it the way it was originally and the way that I best remember it..."

"agreed. but i wasn't saying boba couldn't kill windu, just that boba couldn't die too. :D"

Give me a little credit...I happen to be a rather large Starwars fan...(Boba actaully lives well after ROTJ if you read the books) I never said Boba would die. "does it" was saying I hope Boba Fett kills Mace Windu in the film. I would prefer Boba to kill him with his own saber..but, a lazer shot would work too. I Thought the Mace vs Jango fight was lame. Simply fan service to all the jedi fans.

It certainly was short. But the way Lucas has set up the series, Jedi are basically the ultimate character class, and it seems like nothing else really compares (Sith of course being the same class).

Coolness failes to be part of the situation though...they should have rolled some dice...figured there coolness in...Mandalorian armor adds like a good 50 to coolness...a pink lightsaber costs you about 50...I think we know who would have won.

Well, technically there was no EMPEROR Palpatine at that time, obviously, but I think there might be something you don't know that might be spoiler for you if I said it. It's kinda obvious, and I don't want to underestimate if you DO know (I may have just read your statement wrong).

Actually, let me see if I can get these spoiler brackets working.....
Darth Sidious and Senator/Emperor Palpatine are one in the same. Old Sidious, if the spoilers are correct, has the ability to change his appearance, thus being able to 'cloak', pardon the pun, his ever deteriorating dark-side appearance when in "Supreme Chancellor-mode". It just so happens, I suppose, that the appearance of Sids and Palps are the same during Episode 1, unless he's missing alot more hair under that hood.

changing his appearance, eh? Youd think ol' yoda would've noticed if he'd been using dark powers constantly like that 0_o
I agree with Shatterheart that mandalorian armor is about 100 points better than a pink saber and that boba should definitely kill mace in ep. III  Using his own saber against him would be the bomb, but from the previews anakin will be coming rather close to that tactic himself so it would be redundant :P

Though slightly off topic, but still Star Wars related, I found this interesting little article over at Crosswalk.com:
