Total Nonstop Action wrestling

Does anyone else ever watch this? I have started figuring out when it's on and seen a few episodes. Thus far it seems to be a decent alternative to WWE, missing much of the sexuality (other then their acronym), extremism (blood spilling, language) and soap opera stuff that has destroyed the WWE. Yes, it is made up of newbies and several old stars who can't or won't go to WWE (Jeff Jarret, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page, Raven, Scott Hardy) but there's nothing wrong with that. They use an eight-sided ring, like the UFC cage without the steel, which makes for some interesting moves. And finally, one of thier up and comers, A.J. Styles, used to be with the Christian Wrestiling Federation, an outreach that uses pro wrestling to spread the Word.

So has anyone seen more of thier shows and agree with me or seen stuff that I have missed?

I watch TNA and love it. I can't stand WWE anymore and stop watching it back in July or Aug.

I haven't liked WWE since the "Attitude" era began. I do watch a little here and there, but am consistantly disappointed. They are milking every idea they get to ridiculous extremes, doing the same thing over and over again. Same matches, same people. Matches that should be good are interupted, matches and speeches that are pointless go on for eternity. Mindless extremeism in violence and sexuality, ect, ect.

Back to TNA, I want to see DDP in action again! He hasn't wrestled on the shows I've seen, and he was one of my favorites from the WCW. Looks like there is a good feud between him and Hall and Nash.

I stop watching it in middle of last year. It just not real wrestling anymore at all. I still remember NWA years in the midddle 80's and how good wrestling was. You only had one pay per view a month or every two months and you built the story on TV before it went to PPV. Now a days, its like a PPV every two weeks now and if you don't watch the PPV, you miss half of the storyline.

meh, I never did follow pro wrestling (due to the WWE stuff) but I do follow Highschool and College wrestling. Heck, I was on the wrestling team at school for a few years until I lost the will to wrestle.

Sting was wrestling there for a while, but I don't know what he's doing now.

Hogan, much as I love him, hopefully will stay retired this time. He just has gotten too old and too cliched. He had one of the greatest careers imaginable (if we could just erase the whole Hollywood Hogan period), and his last couple of comebacks have just sullied the legacy.

On the WWE PPVs, I couldn't agree more. $35-$50 every couple of weeks, different ones for the different "brands". Way back when, I had no cable, and only saw Superstars when it was on Saturday mornings and Saturday Night Main Event when they had it, and I was still able to keep up with the storylines. Now it's two hours of Raw, two of Smackdown, constant PPV I say......


Ok I feel better now.

I notice that TNA's interviews seem a little weak. They just lack much substance to add to the storylines. Anyone agree/disagree?

Sting is still waiting on picking which wrestling group that he wants to join. He just had a few deals with TNA to come on and beat people up and then leave. He has said that he looking more into TNA as of right now then WWE, since he doesn't agree on how WWE is ran and since he is a christian. I hope he doesn't take the money from WWE and join them. The only way I think WWE could get Sting is if they Lex come back to wrestling.

Its true that Hogan is too old and needs to stay retired. I just like to see him more more time and go out on top at TNA. He could sign up as someone that gets to play around with a storyline and then leave. I thin this is what DDP is doing really, since from what I heard. He is still somewhat retired and I think they are going to let him just play around a bit on TV for the storyline and really wrestle in the PPV's that TNA has.
