Have you tried reviewing the older episodes? Things start to pop out atcha. For example:
[spoiler] When you first see Kate, she's distinctly rubbing her wrists, which are probably sore due to the handcuffs, and Walt's seen reading a comic about a Polar Bear just prior to the polar bear attack. And Hurley's on the TV in the second Sun & Jin episode. Plus those numbers just keep popping up]
