Download trouble

I'm trying to download a picture of my Maka cosplay to the site but I can't get it off of my phone because I don't have the cord that goes from the phone to the computer. Any ideas?

How about emailing the photo to yourself? Then you'll be able to use the computer to save it and upload it.

I second emailing it to yourself. If you don't have some kind of portable data storage device (like a USB drive) that works with both your phone and computer, email is probably your best option.

I got the picture onto my computer now, but I can't download it onto the site, because it always says that it's too big or not the right file type.

What type of file is it? (right click the file, click "properties" and look for file type listing) And do you have a photo editing software to resize the photo and do you know the size requirements for the site (here or someplace else)?
If you do not have a photo editing software, you can create an account on Photobucket.com (for free) and resize your photos there or you can download the program GIMP for free that works a lot like Photoshop.
