Poetry contest?

I think we ought to have a poetry contest once a month. It could be in any format. What do you people think?

Its a good idea. Really the only problem I can think of with it is that the writing thread tends to be rather...dead. I mean, I would try to participate in it and I know some other people would as well.

Having a form of writing contest would spark up more activity in that section, so it's worth a try ^^ I'm sure there's a few writers here who would love that and even participate ^^?

I love poetry... but I'm not that sure if poetry loves me too.. lolz!

Once a month sounds a bit too long to wait for a poem, but I guess some people like writing very long poems XD?
