> By this guy's posts, I don't think he was aware of the whole troll situation.

With all due respect, I can't think of any situation where claiming to be a troll, even in jest, is acceptable and wouldn't elicit or deserve swift action. Most people unaware of the damage that trolling causes don't go around pretending to be one, and those that do pretend are usually, in fact, trolling.

Good point, but I believe that if they warned him, there would be a ninety percent chance he would have stopped whatever he was doing. Both Rei and Lex didn't MEAN to start any trouble, so they REALLY did deserve a warning and if they didn't stop, THEN they would have known they were trolls and it would have been a bit more on the fair side.

Rei in fact was warned -- the moderator in question who did warn him has the PMs that were sent, and his replies.

I'm not sure how you know lexicalunit's motivations, or how likely he would have been to stop his behaviour. Nevertheless, the policy is zero tolerance, and anyone who thinks pretending to be a troll is merely amusing should find other means of entertainment.

Indeed....let me state one thing...the Staffs decisons are not points to argue or debate k? This thread is here...not so you can cry about people that got banned...but know what is going on. I hope this is the end of this little issue.

Yes, which I pointed out before, he apologized and stopped.

You're avoiding the original question about how unfair it was to not warn Lex. if you say, were in France and you did the thumbs up to someone (Which means "Up yours"), would you like to be kicked out of France, or be warned and be more careful?

No, i'm not crying about this. As I said before, "I'm not saying 'Suck at adminstration' I just want some fairness in the courts".

Oh...I'm sorry...I missed the part where the staff asked to be questioned on every single thing we do. Listen...I was nice the first time...now I will be blunt. CAA is at war right now...we have been for some time. Trolls are bleeding onto our site day by day...some wait to post...some are outright...some join with there name troll king with a frizzy hair troll for an avatar....we get all kinds of trolls here..and ya know...some sites would not care...they would let there site be overrun...and all the members would be miserable...etc etc. Not so here...some may call us too strict...or whatever...but CAA will be a place where people of all ages can come...and have a home to talk about Christianity and anime...free from lashing...pestering...having there info asked of them...annoyance...ignorance...etc etc. And the only way we can keep it this way...is by banning trolls. I am sorry if you do not agree with our decisions...if you think we are unfair...that is really a shame..but nothing is going to change. This "court" will remain as it is...because of people like your friends...who think its funny...to pester a board during very trying times. You my friend..have no idea what it is like...to have to worry about a website you care greatly about...being attacked by ignorant cruel people (talking about nasty trolls in the past) We have young members here...and when people come on posting horrible porn...it reminds me of one thing...I will do everything in my power...to stop people from hurting CAA via nasty pictures...langauge...spam...etc etc. I really am tired of defending the staff...from people like you...newbs you join a site...and feel they have every right to tell the staff who have been caretaking a website for 2 years...how to do everything...and how to run there court. So consider this little conversation over. Any member banned is banned for good unless otherwise stated. So stop it right now. If there are any more posts or threads like this...things will get much more serious I assure you. If you have a complaint...PM a mod or Admin. Stop spamming the website with complaints about the staff...you should be more grateful that people actually give enough of a crap to keep this site going. Conversation over. This thread will now return to its first purpose...to alert the site when a member is banned.

Ok, I'm skipping 90% of all all replys 'cause I really don't have time to read it all, I'm just going by what I read on the first page.

Homosexuality is a psychological issue, and those are the hardest to cure. If she's unwilling to let go, you must give her time. Doesn't God say to accept anyone and everyone into his church? Even sinners? How do you plan on spreading the Word if you are unwilling to talk AND LISTEN to them? Yes they are sinful, but shunning them away immediately is not the correct way to evangelize.

Sorry if I repeated someone elses comments.

i'll put it bluntly. a person who'd be protesting against the church that homosexuality is acceptable is opposing God openly. no different to Satanists. now if they just be quite and don't make so much noise, then the heck with it, they're welcome. hate the sin, not the sinners. but if they ramble on and on and on and on and on and on endlessly about them to be tolerant etc etc and demanding to be entered to the church while it's clearly opposing the scripture then it's absolutely wrong. my ten Won.

oh yeah, this is like page 12. you missed a LOT.

If someone homosexual comes to us recognising that homosexuality is a sin, we will accept them. However if someone homosexual comes to us with a view that homosexuality is tolerated by God, that's twisting God's word.

The issue is not whether they are sinful or not (we are all sinful) - it's whether they consider homosexuality sinful in the first place.

Anyway, as has already been said, this is an information thread. If you have beef, take it to the PM system.

This is a very good point, and should be remembered. We aren't running a dictatorship... but please, these threads have real purposes. I think most of us are here to talk about anime or Christianity (or movies, games, etc, you know what I mean). Even if you have a major issue with someone, the forums aren't the place to do it.

Well yes i agree, but poeple come in and read the Banned Members from page 1 and then have questions that go back. And ya can't really just ignore them, well i suppose we can just let them read the explanations further on it the....wait a minute....Awwwwwww you said let the past be the past....my heart has melted...please hold while I'm rushed to the Hospital to get a new one.......I don't know i'm sensative, not really, kind of multi-personalitied...i don't know, i'm just a freak with a big heart and a lot of Personalities, it takes very little to make me happy. :)

Okay then. I'll just say this: Those bans were unfair and Rei wants to argue his case. Okay, then end. I justed wanted to point out the sheer stupidity of banning a guy for kidding around in his user title (Who was obviously unaware of the troll situation and wasn't trying to anger people with it, so he wasn't actually a troll) and a guy who didn't even know what he said that got him banned. Yes, I am a "Newbie", but one who has the guts to question an unfair decision by the admins (Who have the power to ban me). I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but really, I can't answer this without sounding bashful (Which i'm not trying to be). I won't argue anymore, I'll leave the decision into your hands.

If anyone has any further questions as to mod actions, do not ask them here. PM one of the staff and we'll address it off the group. This is not the thread for that; this is in place to inform the group of bannings made and the reason why. Please do not post anything further here in reference to anyone else who has previously been banned.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

lixicalunit admitted to being a troll twice. As for AyanamiRei, he did a number of things wrong which have already been discussed. There have also been quite a few complaints about him from other members.

If you think we're being unfair, notice that the more experienced members aren't complaining. That's because we've had a serious troll problem, and it's unlikely to go away.
