It took a bit less time than I expected. Enjoy the new features!

quick comments:
Things seem to move a good slower. Animated gifs and typing especially (takesa while for key strokes to be echoed on the screen)
Also, why are there unhappy faces on the Newest Member, Birthdays and Users Online headings?

(trying out this Quick Reply thingy...lol)
I think AOL 8 has a problem with CAA for some reason...it doesn't log me in right when I try to access it through the AOL software. It says I'm in the active users list, but it still says "welcome visitor" at the top and won't let me do anything that requires being logged in. What the...? But, if I access the page -outside- the AOL, with just plain old Internet Explorer, it works just fine.
I just thought I'd say something about that...in case there are any other AOLers out there having trouble.

okay if loading times are slower, that's probably down to the script kiddies packet flooding our host. they've been under attack for quite a few hours now.. one of the servers had to be shut down... it's because of that july 6th hacker contest. i've put all the other standard optimisations on, as for animated gifs and typing, what browser are you using? i've tested this thing on ie 6 and mozilla

clear your cache.. the old images are still in there, you should see a yellow arrow instead. i got this problem too

sounds like a cookie problem... because you are using aol software there is little i can do to fix this. sorry

Could be an options issue then. I'm running IE 4.0 and Win98

the new version uses lots of javascript... much more than the old one. perhaps that's interfering?
