Not sure what to watch next. Perhaps this Chuunibyou my friend keeps harrassing me about.

Watching Lucky Star, since I've never seen it before. That first episode was... uh.. that was an episode?

Finished showing Baccano! to my roommate (she loved it). It was great to go through that story again, and I understood more of what was happening this time through. I think I'd still need several more run-throughs before I can really get a handle on the plot, though.

Just about to finish Code:Breaker (minus the final OVA). Reminded me a bit of Death Note. Started Sands of Destruction, so far not crazy into it, but I do like the characters so we shall see.
I really need to finish the last disk of FMA: Brotherhood but I'm so sad that it's ending that I just can't yet...

Just finished Full Metal Panic, and I must say that I am a bit disappointed in the show overall. At first, I didn't mind a nearly unstoppable antagonist, but after the first time that he "died" he should have stayed dead, if that had happened the story could have panned out better. However, that is not to say that this was a bad anime, I think it just missed out on the potential to be better.

Golden Time - Episode 4: SPOILER: Highlight text to read: I was wondering who the competitor to Kaga would be, and finally she shows up. I had originally thought it would have been Oka, but it looks like I was wrong.

Log Horizon - Episode 4: I'm glad this took the adventure genre more than the action genre, as it makes it less of an SAO ripoff. Also, Shiroe, in my opinion, is also much more of an interesting MC than Kirito was.

Outbreak Company - Episode 4: Why am I still watching this? I think this will be my last episode of this anime.

Psychic School Wars i.e. attack of the lens flare, even JJ Abrams would have nightmares. And cherry blossom petals (inside a moving train why). I liked the MC but most of the other characters were blah to really annoying (tsundere childhood friend please diaf) and some of the ideas where nice but overall it's nothing special.

Castle in the Sky on the other hand was really sweet and had all the right Ghibli ingredients. Pirate granny was awesome and I laughed so hard when SPOILER: Highlight text to read: the whole ship was listening in on their conversation.

Monogatari Second Season episode 17:

SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Curious as to why Ougi showed up in the beginning, but I'm sure that'll be explained in good time. :) As for the rest of it: Wow-- they did a great job of making that 'darkness' thing super creepy without actually showing much of it at all (because it was technically invisible to the characters). :pikka: Also, LOL at the subversion of the "get-rescued-and-then-have-everything-explained-to-you-by-your-rescuer" trope, the interesting commentary on 'being so completely reliant on others,' and all of the muscle comments. (And whoa, those two kisses were unexpected. :pikka: )

Looking forward to hearing/seeing the story Shinobu is about to tell about the past...

Hataraku Maou-sama! - Episode 3: I will say that I wasn't sure apart from the story of what to expect from this anime, but it seems to be fairly entertaining thus far.

Just finished Sands of Destruction - I wound up liking it more than I expected to! The animal people were very random, but I really enjoyed the characters. Bonus: it was a surprisingly clean anime. Easy watch since it was only 13 episodes~

I finally finished Clannad! It was good, though not without its problems and cringe-worthy moments. The final episode was positively the sweetest, most adorable thing ever :n_n:

@the_wolfs_howl

I've only seen 1/2 of the series (original arc). Did you watch season two and the movie? I hear they are good I just haven't taken the time.

Whoever told you the movie was good was lying so hard. The movie actually made me avoid the series because I simply couldn't handle how bad the storyline was.

Now, the series on the other hand (and I mean both seasons), ended up being excellent when I did watch them. But it took months for me to get up the courage because I saw the move first >.>

Been rewatching the Pokemon anime. Just finished up the Indigo League, and starting on the Orange Islands! Oh my gosh....I think I enjoy Pokemon more now than I did as a kid! LOL, you notice a few jokes that originally went over your head. I also see more hints of Ash x Misty then I ever noticed before (I now ship them, too). Also watched all the movies that still had the original dub actors, I loved "Lucario and The Mystery of Mew". SPOILER: Highlight text to read: I didn't think Pikachu crying could be more emotional than the first movie, but I was proven wrong! When Ash and the others are "eaten" up by the Tree of Beginnings, and Ash is all like "I love you, buddy!" to Pikachu, and then Pikachu cries....gahh the feels! The bond between a boy and his Pokemon <3 Then when Lucario sees Sir Erin's sacrifice...I swear, one of the best, most epic Pokemon movies ever!

Current: Kaichou wa Maid-Sama (finishing up)

Next: continue Shakugan no Shana season 3

Forecast Afterward: The Tatami Galaxy, but only if I can find more episodes other than the first two that are on Funimation's YT channel. Otherwise.....heck, I dunno. Anyone have any good recommendations?

@FourFourSeven: The entire series is available on both Funimation's official website as well as Hulu.com. :)

Monogatari Second Season episode 18:

Loved the long, continuous scroll-like illustrations used to depict most of Shinobu's story. Also, it's amazing how engrossing that story ( + its epilogue after the credits) was-- I was actually surprised by how quickly it seemed to go by!

And being voiced by Maaya Sakamoto just makes it that much better. She's done such a great job with Shinobu's character, and that's obviously most noticeable when we get an entire episode monologue from her.

Finished Yamato 2199. Episode 25 was really...strange. One of the worst eps of the series, but the majority of it was great and it ended strong. Glad to see such a well-done remake of an old classic, and it's definitely one of the best recent anime.

Somehow, I didn't know anyone needed a web account on Funimation just to watch the rest. And, I totally forgot about places like Hulu and even Netflix. Thanks.

Remember me? I haven't posted in this thread since August, apparently!

I'm too busy right now to watch much anime. I still am two episodes away from finishing Free! (don't ask how that happened. I like it a lot, but apparently rarely ever think to watch it). So far this season I'm just watching Beyond the Boundary; currently up to episode 4. I like this one, too, but I am not sure if it is the story I like so much as the artwork. I may just be watching it because it's so pretty to look at.

This season my husband just isn't interested in any of the currently airing stuff, so instead of watching any simulcasts together, we started Kanon (2006), which I've had on my shelf for a couple of years. I am intrigued after only one episode. Pretty sure I've already called the romance, but I am not sure about what's actually going on. I have all kinds of crazy theories -- you know, like "maybe they're all dead and this is the afterlife!" (Too much Haibane Renmei, eh? Or maybe too much LOST!) I will try to avoid sharing my crazy theories because I do NOT want to know if they are right!

Just finished up Hataraku Maou-sama, and I have to say that this anime tried to do good by creating a unique story, but spent way too much time as a slice of life anime. With only 13 episodes, I think it should have been fully dedicated to one or the other.

I am about halfway or so through Pokemon: The Orange Islands. Ahhh, I forgot how good this season was! Also, after all these years, I decided to finally watch the episode where Misty left. I had no idea it was during Master Quest! That's when my bro and I stopped (I think halfway in), we should of kept going! But oh my gosh....the feels....it confirmed many things, and I didn't think a Pokemon episode could make me cry that much! I have cried during Pokemon episodes, but never that much....it made me cry as much as some of the movies did!

Anyway, my goal is to finish Pokemon where 4Kids dub ends. After that, I'm pretty much done. Lucario and The Mystery of Mew is a good finale for me.

@AnimeGirl
I remember being severely upset at the departure of Misty. I liked the addition of May and Max, but I think that Misty and Ash were perfect for each other. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: He actually keeps the Mini Misty Lure and is quite possessive of it! >.< Too cute.
I love the Indigo League ~ I still get giggly and happy when I watch it. When they changed the dub voices I had a fit (almost as bad as when Misty left). Somehow I never got to see all of the Orange League, but the eps. I saw I very much enjoyed. I really liked the Jhoto episodes too! I think up until the dub change I have a very strong connection with the show...
I think they maintain the original voices in the subbed version if you want to check that out. :)
