Watching GJ-bu: I have mixed feelings about this series. While it does have excellent SoL elements, the comedy in it is far too little to be entirely enjoyable.

Watched SAO Extra: Honestly, I liked SAO season 1; however, this was less than expected. An hour and twenty minutes of recap, then twenty minutes of new content that wasn't even very interesting. Some of the recap was fun to remember though, so it wasn't all bad.

Oh, yes, you have to. I admit that I didn't like the anime, but that was because I am/was a die-hard Diana Wynne Jones fan and what I really wanted to see was a more faithful adaptation of the book. I am sure the anime was good in of itself, but the book is marvelous.

Tokyo Ravens - Episode 2: This anime caught me off guard, as I picked it up out of the 70 anime titles that I have on my to watch list. I had originally just wanted to watch the first episode, and I thought I would take it off my list after that... but it looks like I was completely mistaken. The character development was done pretty well, also the action is nice to watch too. No complaints about this anime yet.

Just finished watching Shakugan no Shana II. I'm glad I got through it. It had a lot of problems, including terrible pacing and a love triangle so indecisive that I felt like banging my head against a brick wall (for your easy visualization: :bang:). That being said, it kept me watching, mainly for the minor characters, the humor, Shana’s slow character progression, and the plot (once it got around to it).

I’ll watch the third season eventually, but after a break filled with some other anime.

Watched the first episode of Hamatora. Yup, this remains on my top to-watch list for this anime season! I really love the animation and the colors, and I mean, detectives with powers? You cannot go wrong, there! So far the first episode has got me hooked, and I like how it's a bit comical as well, making it more of a fun series to watch! But the ending shows there is more intensity! Can't wait 'till episode 2 is available for free Crunchyroll users~

Alsom, Birthday is probably my favorite character. He's just awesome!

Watching Mouretsu Pirates Episode 13: I have to say that this is one of my favorite series in watching anime so far. The characters are especially well done, and if I had watched it earlier, I would have voted for it on the best anime of 2012 thread.

Watched episode 2-3 of Silver Spoon. To think, an anime about farming could be so entertaining! I expect nothing less from the awesome Hiromu Arakawa!

Also watched episodes 14-20 of NGE. OH MY GOSH...JUST...two more discs to go, we'll see how this ends, but still lovin' this series.

It's a delightful little show isn't it? It's a shame that so few folks picked it up.

It’s been in my own watch list for a while. Life and other anime have gotten in the way.

Anyway, I just finished Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Wow. Starts off as a nice concept, bogged down with fan service, till we’re hit with a sudden cliff-hanger. Next, an awe-inspiring twist. Then, a horrifying twist. Then an epic battle, followed by a even greater battle. All the while, it's filled with philosophical themes for people like me to ponder over. Surprises like this are why I watch anime.

And now on to Ergo Proxy (episode three)… All I’ll say so far is that this anime doesn’t go easy on viewers. It just throws the plot at you and expects you to understand it. No exposition whatsoever.

Ever had the problem that a series has a main character whose voice you know from a different anime?

Shinichiro Miki, not that I'm complaining mind you. He basically appears in all of my top-rated anime series. (Area-88 as Makoto Shinjou, Full Metal Panic as Kurz Webber, Gundam 00 as Niel Dylandy, plus a ton more roles that I can't be bothered to list right now)

Also, Gintoki voicing a cop in the anime equivalent of Power Rangers. I laughed at first, but then got sad because there is no new season of Gintama. :(

Finished NGE (now just the Director's Cut episodes are left). And....yeah, I can totally see why the final two episodes were so disappointing. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: They essentially were pointless and explained nothing. Episode 24 in a sense was the true end, since the last was eradicated, yet is a very open ending, and you feel all this build up leads you to no answers about what and why. It's like you think things are deeper, then it just...ends, with a fate unknown, though I admit I did like the climax of Shinji deciding existing is worth it and the applause of his colleagues, that did feel pretty special for his character developement, but as a climax for the whole story, I was left wanting, like we end before the end. It felt rushed in some places, and important reveals felt like it went over your head, like details were missing. Well, now gotta rent the movie and see what the ending should look like! Though as a whole, it's still one of my favorite series, it just fell flat where it shouldn't and I hope the film remedies this, then I can see Rebuild.

Just finished Tsuritama which turned out a lot better than what I was expecting. Also, I'm watching Tokyo Ravens which seems to be alright, but I feel like something could have been done better. Lastly, I just started Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou which seems to be a good show so far.

Polar Bear Cafe, no subs, for Japanese listening practice. I'm actually surprised at how much I'm understanding.

A handful of shows from this season that I already mentioned in the Winter 2014 thread, Arcana Famiglia, Tokyo Ravens, and One Piece.
Also, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. This one reminded me a lot of the Beast Master manga, SPOILER: Highlight text to read: until you find out that the Leo character actually has depth. I didn't think I liked it that much, until I realized I marathoned it halfway through in one sitting.

They were rushed because they were way over budget and had to cut as many corners as possible to finish the series. EoE is considered to be the "true" ending. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: I'll argue with you though that episodes 25 and 26 explained nothing, they are huge deconstructions of the characters, and as you watch EoE are something of a flipside to what is happening in the "real world" at the time. Everything plays into each other and it really quite good. Both episodes are hugely important in explaining the end of the series.

^ I actually watched one right after the other when I first started watching anime, and I adored both. They can be pretty similar, but they still are quite diverse in some respects.

Besides the load of shows that I am watching this season, I'm watching (whenever I get a chance, that is) Pandora Hearts. I've gone up to episode 5, and I can definitely say that this is a nice break from the normal shows that air every season.

I'm watching 'Kuroko no basket' right now. Waiting for the next episode to come out!

I wanted to stay away from romance genres recently and wanted to watch something with lots of action.
Although it's mainly about basketball, I love this anime because of the characters~. ^-^
