I was greatly touched by your works and by the strong Christian messages imbedded in them...It's an honor for us to be able to read such moving words of art. Thank God for this beautiful gift he has given to you and other Christian poets...My condolences for the sad personal sharing. I believe God has everything in His Control..

my soul craves your warmth
I hate you
My body wants to keep the sin

The demons in my head
whisper words of death
they say that I can be like You
and I say:

It is impossible
to be like you
it is impossible
to achieve perfection
it is impossible
that you would Love me so
it is impossible
for a God as awesome as you

My sin opens it jaws
swallows me whole
consumes me

and I try to make sense of it all
wanting life but embracing death
and I wonder:

How can a God so great?
Give it up all for me?
hang himself on a tree?

It is impossible
Your love reaches past the stars
it is impossible
you love me for who i am
it is impossible
For a God to be so awesome
For a God to be so great

and i shut those demons away
and offer shouts of praise
it is impossible

I was sorta depressed when I wrote this...

Fallen

Broken inside
Trying to find
The One who will make me whole again

At one point in time
I knew Him
At one point in time
I saw Him

Now He seems so far away
Now I wonder
Will I see His face?
And I know He's there
And I wonder what's holding me

What are these chains
These chains of doubt and fear
And I wonder
Will I know his Prescence again?

Will I ever hear the sound of cherubim?
The sound of Holiness
The sound of the Spirit in the darkness

And i wonder
Though i know he's there
I wonder will it ever be the same
Will i ride on angels wings again

At one point in time
I saw Him
At one point in time
I felt Him, I knew Him
and i long for that one point in time.

Broken wings
Trying to fly
Trying to see your face
and I wonder
i wonder
Will I ever see you again

Am I doomed
to this path of doubt
in the chains of fear
Will I ever be free again?

I really like this poem. It had so much heart and feeling. I don't know anything about poetry, so I'll never comment on if it's done right. I can only tell you as someone who reads poetry, I really liked this one. ^_^

this one i wrote trying to portray the demon world and what impact it has in our world even though we don't realize it.

Unfeeling claws
Scrap my soul
revealing bitterness
rage and selfishness

Invisibility
whispering words
of death
of fear
of greed and destruction

Do we not see?
What these beings mean?
Though we can't feel
their destruction
They're everywhere

In the night
they frolic
in the day
they go deep inside me
Trying to submit me
to darkness

And I listen to their words
even if it means my demise
and i start to lose control
for they were once in Paradise

They know all the tricks
learned from the best
causing harm
not caring
unfeeling
knowing the pain they give

Do you not realize
they are here
in every angry word
every fear
they're here

Without the armor
we are in pain
without the sword
we are waiting
for the shame
sin is their weapon
if we have no protection
we will fall
and trip
until we cry out to God

and I know that
they will not give up
so why do we
why do we not look at the tree
where the ultimate battle
was fought

It is their goal
to make us full
of greed and lust
so that we would not think
to look to the tree

do you not see
their invisibility
is there and real
and trying to kill our souls.

Inconsequential circumstances
things that don't seem to matter
have the matter of the soul

A little soup for the hungry
Help to the blind
encouragement to the broken
wiper of tears

Things that seem so little
with so much value
seem so inconsequential

Isn't it amazing?
That a God so big
works for the small
Lover of all
works for the weak

King of kings
for the peasants
and yet why aren't we like him

Why don't we strife
all that we are?
To be like this Great One.
Instead we continue to die.

How long must I wait?
For the great glorious return?

Dead in our sins
this world reeks
and we embrace it
As it takes its sword
imbeds it into our soul

Death and tradegy
days of our lives
always filled with such strife

and i long for the day
when it will be wiped away
and you will come

Greed and lust
anger and death
embrace eachother
spread a virus
silently choking us all

And I long for the day

Darkness trembles
in the shadows of the night
trying to free itself
from the invading Light

Sends its forces
near and far
to quench the lampstand
to end the world

In the valley
they wait
Tears become their food by day
Hoping praying
that the end may come
where the ruler we'll destroy the Evil One

And he tries
whispers death
gives them fear
inflate with pride
a cancerous tumor

A sword looking to kill
and I wonder
when will the end come

And the ones in the valley
rise up and stand
proclaiming the news
throughout the land

They remember in awe
of what he had done
and how they had taken
nails to his hand.

I ride on the wings
of a eagle
of ectasy and joy
boundless love flows
through these poisoned veins

Amazing love
How amazing to the simple
and to the wise.
So utterly speechless
the river before me
Do I dive in
or remain on the bedside?

Will I give the movement
or will I keep it all
let the flood consume me
or keep out the rain?

wings cover me
from the arrows of blood
and I drink from the cup
eat the bread
and savor the Death
and long for the End
where Life rules

Man flows through the world
a puff of smoke in temporary existence
yet we are seen as much more

A speck in the wheel of time
Deeds forgotten
Name lost in the world
yet we mean so much more
so much more

the image of deity
we struggle each day
Our worth seen in our skin
our hearts disregarded
as inconsequential
yet it is so much more than that

Whisperers of death.
Serpents tongues bath in the
moon's false lies
Spreading its light throughout the world
cutting out the souls of men.
and we wonder if we can be free
from the vipers fangs.

Sands faded behind our feet
Worth trickling through the hourglass.
Nothing more then the dust of the earth
and the poison of the heart.
Yet we are more than that, so much more.
