Lucienne's Poetry!

Postby MusicRocksGBV » Mon Jan 22, 2007 1:54 am

Well, I guess it's about time that I start up with the my poetry section. I have quite a bit of it and it's all on dA and werehollow so lol, it starts being here now!

Okay, this first one is called The Weary Wanderer. It became the first story/theme/allegory of my life. I have measured my progress in life by where in this I feel I am. It's long, yes, but I hope you all can see what it's all about. It's older...2+ years ago...but I wrote it when I was in the middle of one of the worst depressive states I have ever been in. I take it as a personal revelation and it really helped then. I think of it as the official start of me writing as well. And also, the beginning of a lot of wonderful changes in my life.

The Weary Wanderer

When solitude is everywhere.â€
"No matter how dark the night, morning always comes, and our journey begins anew." -Lulu, FFX

Very good, The flow in the middle seems a little abrupt, might try to smooth it out some. over all very good
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.
What does it profit a man to gain the World yet lose his soul.
Choose Life that you Might live.

I appreciate your description of a Christian journey's flow.

I look forward to reading more of your poems.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
