Sharing da Faith

Postby Emanku » Fri Feb 27, 2004 12:59 pm

I've always been pretty shy about everything, not just my faith. But, just a little while ago, I had to do a big CALM (Career and Life Management) project for school and then present it to the class. The project asked what my dreams are, and to design a poster that represents them. Most of my dreams involve spreading the good news of the gospal to as many people as possible, so that's what went on my poster. I managed to finish the project and present it before everyone, strongly expressing my trust in Jesus. :thumb: God helped me every step of the way.

After I finished presenting, several people (christian and non-christian) came up to me and complimented me on my poster and how brave I was to present my beliefs so strongly. I got a terrific mark for the poster, and perfect marks for the presentation. That was one of the best days of my life.
I will not waver, doubt or falter for all truth in this world has been written into the book here at my side.

I'm glad you got the positive feedback you did.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.

Hey, a fellow Albertan. Welcome to the CAA! *gives handshake*

And like Saint Kevin said, that is pretty cool that you were able to share our Lord's good news like that and get such a good response. Way to go! :thumb:

I'm glad that you took the opportunity to share your faith with so many people. Sharing the gospel with others is one of my weak points, which I will hopefully improve on with time.

What a blessing! ^_^ Thanks for sharing that with us.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
