March coloring contest 07

Postby Kuro-Mizu » Sun Mar 04, 2007 7:49 pm

Well here is the March contest everyone!

Same rules as always. Just color the PROVIDED lineart with any medium you want adding whatever background you want. As long as we can tell that your colored version is the same picture as the original lineart anything goes!

This month our featured artist is

MYOTI

with his lineart
'The Corsair'

Get to it!

Wow - nice job Jaden. Lots of detail in the background, and the hair texture is crazy.

Really cool Jaden; the hair texture is definitely crazy; very wild. :) And I really love the background -there is so much amazing detail there! And it's rendered so well!
Great work, Jaden. ^_^

I'm getting there too. Just need to add a background, really. Might do some other things as well, but I'm not sure. I'll have to see. ^^

Yep, just a background left for me. I messed up a bit because I was out of art programs to use, so the line art is going to be sloppy. n.n;;

Wow! Yeah, the blur speed effect looks really great! And I love the speed-streak type look in the background too.
Great job, Shadowcat! :jump: Hmm... now I just need to finally add a background to my one. ^_^"

All right... well I finally added a background to mine. :) Hope it's adequate! ^^

I tried a new approach to colour (man, I really do love the chance I get each month to try out different things ^^ ) using just three different colours for each area.

Hope you like it! \^_^

Thank you guys, I'm glad you liked it. ^^ I wanted to try some 3-colour shading on this picture. ^_^ It was fun to do that style of shading again.

I like warm colours. X3 Or at least, I love red, orange and yellow together. But usually I use cold colours like blue and purple. :P
