Short Stories

Postby Shao Feng-Li » Mon Mar 26, 2007 9:08 pm

This is something I've been working on a lot lately and it's the only story I'm actually doing right now. It's likely you've seen illustrations of the characters. What you'd be reading here are little practice peaces. Some or really short and some longer. Very mild swearing, it's usually used literally... And violence, nothing detailed.

EDIT: And these things look way longer in MS Word XD

Ooh, more!! Keep writing!

Suggestion though. Maybe have a little space between the sentences, so it would be easier to read.

Story 3- The Vampire Chase

[quote]Mordecai looked up at the moon. It was high in the sky- about midnight Mordecai judged. A vampire’s preferred hour. The street lamps cast a soft glow on his dark skin. He watched the silhouettes of the people in their respective homes, perhaps playing game as a family or having a late dinner. An occasional passerby greeted and bowed, which Mordecai promptly returned. No one asked his business.

In the distance something skittered across a roof top. Mordecai stood at attention his grip tightening on his sword. Then he heard it… the piercing scream of a woman. In an instant he was in an all out sprint. Blast! Just as I feared! Then there are wizards!

He ran almost silently. Years of training gained him the ability to step quietly in spite of stone floors and wooden sandals. Even his armor did not clang together. As he neared the house people began to gather and lights began to flicker on.

Hmmm, interesting stories, but actually, I wouldn't call them stories. They're really more like scenes. And yeah, i realize you said you had formatting problems, but it's difficult to know who's speaking when dialogue from multiple speakers run into one paragraph, such as. Yeah, formatting is a pain in the butt....

I was thinking along those lines myself, about vampires. I just lacked being able to call them anything else. But for now it's staying as it is. This isn't all quite cannon right now and things can be changed and added too and things like that. I'm trying to get my bearings is all XD

You know, all this still has the potential of being scrapped.
