Lord, I know what I want. You know what I need. Thank You for the comfort that comes from knowing that You will give me what I need. Please change my desires to match.

Lord, my life is like grass that whithers away. You are from everlasting to everlasting. Thank You for the comfort that comes from knowing I will spend eternity with You. Please strengthen my patience to match Your perfect timing.

Lord, I am often at war with myself, flesh and Spirit fighting for control, trying (or trying not) to be different things to different people. But You are unified, indivisible, and harmonious in Your essence, three and one. Thank You for the comfort that comes from knowing that the Lord our God is One. Please take over and fill me more and more so that I can be at peace as one man for You.

Lord, my desires, convictions, and opinions are often different from month to month, day to day, even hour to hour. But You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank You for the comfort that comes from knowing that with You there is no variation or shadow of turning. Please steady me and keep a tight grip on the reins of my heart.

Lord, make me more like You.
