So you're saying men and ladies back in the Old Testament days only got married 'cause they had to make babies? That no one married for love? What about Jacob and Rachel? That guy was head over heels in love with her.

Eh, it's a tricky issue. Many marriages in the past haven't been on the grounds of love.

Course I'd assume some still have.

Except now you're proving my point.

Here, you love each other? Get married! Oops, oops, wait a minute...want sex? Sorry, gotta pop out those kids or it's wrong!

Basically you're forced to be alone and wanting the person, or marry and not allowed to do anything without ending up with a screaming baby, which you may not even want.

But either way, everyone's right, this has gone off topic, so lets leave it.

EDIT: And I guess a way to get it back on topic, I'd like to say major power to anyone who can do this "no kissing until marriage" deal. I know I sure as heck couldn't, but I find it very admirable and amazing that you can! I'll totally keep your wishes in my prayers.

One last thing then, having a headache isn't a blessing (and is usually a symptom of something else being wrong, from dehydration to bleeding in the brain.) Some medicines are certainly a blessing and others aren't. It's an often misused blessing.

If I came across saying that not having kids was wrong, I didn't mean that. (Trying to prevent kids was my point) XD There ain't nothing wrong with enjoying your spouse.

What the heck? Well that's a nice way to put down non-Christians.

Ok, they should turn from their heathen ways and trust in the Lord.

I'm going to pretend that no digressions took place.

I don't think I can do it, but I've never kissed anyone else, except for my family members. I'm sure it would be extra special though, if my husband was my first kiss. It would make it seem like we were meant for each other, lol.

Honestly though, I don't think it's THAT important. I like thinking about more crucial matters, like, maintaining my relationship.

just a quick note. I took birth control pill for almost three months...that final third month...the entire time I had my period...every single day for a whole month. >_< got off it right away...switched to the patch...then the shot. I'm on it because neither my husand nor I have finished college yet...so probably after we both do i'll get off it. There's just no way we could afford to go back to college if we ended up with kids. sorry if someone said to stop talking on this subject, there was alot of reading and i'm a tad tired from being sick to read it all. =_=;

Sorry, my namesake popped up so I had to jump in here.

Rachel was never punished for not having children--however, God never TOLD her to HAVE children. She was in competition with her sister, also back in those days there was a lot of pressure for women to have children in order continue the family line. If God willed it so, she and Jacob might have been another Abraham and Sarah all over again. But she was in "I MUST HAVE CHILDREN" mode, so she got her handmaiden over, and so forth.

Anyway. Saving kisses. Admirable, but it's too late for me now.

Aw man, I get off for a day to get on a plane and this topic explodes. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Seriously, tangents are great. If we didn't have tangents, calculus would not exist; it would be a sad world indeed.

Personally I would prefer relationships to calculus (lol), but whatever floats your boat.

Dang girl, you have some mad art skillz! Great work! (how did you get so good?)

A good surface integral is sexier than any man!

You should so quote that in your signature. (lol)

Practice? Sigh. I was hoping you wouldn't say that. I draw and then get discouraged when I see little improvement. I haven't drawn for a good year or so now (and that's terrible). Maybe I should give it another go?
I need to observe reality more maybe, before going on to create more creative art. That's probably my problem.

I've thought about that before, and wondered if it would be better than kissing a date. Now that I think about it, if you kiss your date, then break up with that person and kiss your next bf/gf, that would be kinda' crude. :P jk

edit

No offense to anyone, this was just a joke. (just incase the 'jk' is overlooked ;) )

As far as the topic if the thread goes, I'm gonna have to say I'm going to stand with Nate on this one.
