Wow, I don't think I've ever written two poems in a row like this so quickly! Here ya go, I hope you all like this one too! It's meant to symbolize temptation.

The City

I walk through the city with flickering fright
These towers surround me, as dark as the night
The road runs for miles, lifeless and grey
As sun’s final breaths burn slowly away
Buzzards are staring from high on the wires
Beady black eyes atop spindly spires
They watch me like hawks but they scavenge like flies
As softly they wait for the daylight’s demise
Turmoil strokes the deep parts of my soul
Pulling me gently towards shadow-laced holes
But just when I feel that I’ll fall to the black
The legions of sunlight return and attack
Burning away the smog and decay
While bathing the city in glorious day
And then once again do my feet find the path
As I walk from this city and never look back.

Here's another one! Hope you like it.

The Legend of War

Brandish your sword
Once again now my friend
The battle is raging
With no sign of end

Strike down the foe
With the mightiest blow
Their towers will fall
And our valor will show

So fight to the finish
And never lose heart
In the grandiose picture
Of which we’re a part

Soon this struggle eternal
Will find its demise
And with ragged red hands
We will cling to the prize

The battle was ugly
The aftermath worse
But it will be remembered
Through lyric and verse

From decade to decade
The legend will thrive
And down throughout time
Will our story survive

And when, once again
We unite on the shore
We will always recall
Our own legend of war...

Hey all! Been a while since I updated. Got a few new poems if any of you are still interested in reading em ^^;

Here ya go.

Color
My world was just a circle,
Full of simple grayscale hues;
But you painted me with purple,
Greens and yellows, reds and blues;
I was colourblind for unknown time,
(Certainly a while);
Yet you cured me that condition,
With the colour of your smile;
For together we’re a painting,
But alone are merely sketches;
If we fell off the world,
Would there be anything to catch us?
Would we plummet for forever,
To eternity – and on?
All the while bringing colour,
To the depths of the beyond?
Or would we stop, and turn around?
Oh, would we simply stay?
Planting seeds of colour,
In a world of shades of grey?
Frankly, dear, I don’t care,
And just so that we’re clear:
It doesn’t really matter where,
But only that you’re near;
Tomorrow is a canvas,
And the paint has yet to dry;
So bring your brush and take my hand,
Let’s fall into the sky..

Clayheart
My chest was cold
And felt like clay
Until you stole
My breath away
An expert thief
With eyes of light
You whispered through
The soundless night
You took my hand
And took my heart
You took my very
Soul apart
It lay exposed
For you to see
All of it real
The truest me
You have committed
Quite a crime
For stealing all
That once was mine
My heart, my soul
And deepest core
Are now undoubtedly
All yours
So keep them safe
And treat them well
And the cave in me
Can be begin to fill
With light and love
And all that I am
So that you can steal it all again.

The Wayfarer
There once was a man whose endeavor was bold
And unto this day his adventures are told
He set out abroad, though his kinsmen remained
His wayfaring spirit could never be tamed
He wandered alone, for a decade at least
Through shadowy glen, o’er glistening peak
Mountains and meadows and valleys and vale
All lent their own scene to his wayfaring tales
And tales he had many, oh stories galore
Of giants and dragons and armies at war
Epic encounters, fantastic forays
They all were a part of his wayfaring days
He told of his ventures wherever he stayed
At times for a while, at times just a day
But never for long, he would always move on
Humming the notes of his wayfaring song
He wandered the world with a stick and a pack
Heeding each whim of the wind at his back
But fate crossed his path with a woman one night
Together they walked, till the sun brought its light
She was a traveler, just like the man
The journey she led had no rhythm or plan
Each in their hearts, right away had begun
To harbor a warmth for the opposite one
And by the dawn, they did decide
To travel onward side by side
The days did pass, and years went by
And their love grew till it reached the sky
The legend of the wayfarer, became a tale of two
Both soul mates of adventure, they shared a feeling true
Love and stalwart spirits, are what they held inside
As they wandered far and wide, and never left each other’s side…

A Description
You are far more fetching than
The tender blossoms of the spring
Many times more winsome than
Those never-ending summer dreams
You are much more vibrant than
The dancing colors of the fall
And you are more amazing than
The fearsome winds of winter squall
Yet your true charm runs deeper
Than the surface of your skin
It wells up deep inside of you
A beauty that’s within
Your soul is lit afire
With a glow that never dies
You burn so bright with inward light
It blazes from your eyes
Your smile is infectious
Your passion is pervasive
Your heart shines like a crystal
And your charm is all-invasive
You, my friend are captivating
Inwardly and out
Your beauty is a masterpiece
Of that there is no doubt
You were built exquisitely
A work of God’s own heart
And sometimes I believe
That you’re His greatest work of art

I haven't had a chance yet to read many of your old poems but I really like these, especially The Wayfarer and Color...The imagery in Color was very... vivid is the word I am looking for I believe. You are really talented :thumb::thumb:
