Auugh I hammered out 400 words this morning but didn't do anything tonight. Must be all the election buzz that's distracting me. XD

Forgive my previous post. My funk cleared quickly. I am free, and back to writing and this time...my characters are saying "Y'can't keep a Godly man down!"

Yay! Welcome back, Sakaki! :) And keep it up, everyone else! Unfortunately, I'm off to school soon, after a night of very little sleep (stupid caffeine overdose), and then I have stuff going on in the afternoon. I plan on sleeping after I get home from all that, so I don't know how much I'm going to get done today. At least I'm already ahead.

I'd be saying the same thing about Saturday, however that has stereotypically been my day of laziness...so yeah...I'm kind of concerned that I got behind schedule...

So I introduced a side character, who has made writing easier for me. He just started talking and I liked him right away. The only problem is he's going to have to die soon. D: FOR PONY!!!!

I'm definitely behind the quota. What is it now, 8,000 words? I'm not even at 4,000 D:

I just introduced a cute animal thing who greatly entertains me, though, XDDD.

It's OVER NINE THOUSAND!

To be more precise, 9013.

Lol yes, gotta love side characters. Speaking of which, I need one. My main characters are all too serious. Hmmm...

Still behind, nothing new, but I spent some spare time in class planning the rest of the story and mapping out character relation. Nine (major) characters and nine chapters. Should fit nicely.

I'll update this again before I go to bed tonight, but I'm currently at 2,048 "words" (You probably can reduce that by 10, as I use asterisks to separate sections.) It's not much, but it's a start.

Also, this is just the introduction. :D

I reached 4,000 words last night and I hope to get a large chunk done with tonight since I don't have too much else to distract me...

8800+ words at the moment, mostly thanks to an extended fight scene that I've been wanting to write out in some form or another for two years.

5,459 words. The introduction of three new characters who decided to show up in my brain is helping a lot, XD. I want to reach 8,000 today, but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen, XD.

I've never had the gumption to try NaNoWriMo. Heck, the longest original story I've ever written is barely that long! I plan to try doing it someday, though. Or maybe starting with doing a half NaNoWriMo, just privately. That would mean a month to write 25,000 words, I suppose. Or maybe some year I'd try to write a whole novelisation in a month :hits_self
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

Yeah, over 12,500 words for me! I haven't written anything yet today, though I'm gonna try and at least get 2000 (hopefully I'll be able to get in some time this afternoon and tonight.) As fun as introducing new characters is, I don't think I could really at this point-- I have about a dozen characters, and following their different plot threads is already giving me trouble. I usually like to have some character who always talks very oddly and has long-winded speeches (my character like that in my last story once had at least 300 words in one monologue), but with how many characters I have this time (not to mention the pace of my story and word count), having one of those seems unlikely.

So, I'm going to keep writing toward that 50K. Good luck with your stories, everyone, and Godspeed!

Lol I do that too... but I count them anyway. Shhh. :P

Well as of right now, I'm at 9675 words, and aiming to get to 12,000 by the end of the day. Maybe I should skip going to nursing home tonight...

Tonight's plan: Finish the introduction with tragedy, then start on Part I. My goal tonight is to write as much as I can before 4AM PST.

Running total of words starts here: 4374 words as of 4:04AM PST. I reached my goal for the night.

Tomorrow, I'll have the house to myself so I can write as much as I need to. :D

Me: "Thursday I'm going spend an afternoon knocking out a couple thousand words."
Life: "HA HA no, you're going to be busy from 9:20 AM to 5:20 PM and be tired from all the stale car air for the rest of the evening."

Wonderful.

About getting to 8,000 words, lol. My emotions decided that wasn't going to happen.

Today, today I will write my face off because it's Friday and there is a weekend ahead.

16,156 (23,000+ if I count the rest XD) words as of 12 am this morning...going to write more tonight XD.

I HAVE to finish this in 2 weeks, because I'm going to be out of town the last week >_<' So If I can write 17,000+ words a week for the next two weeks, I should be able to make it 8D

Well, I'm finally beginning to settle down after a very, very long day... and I totally don't feel like writing. >.< I was going to try to get a good 3000 words in today, too... what to do? Take a nap and hope I feel like writing when I get up? Make myself write anyway?

I think it's cuz I'm at a fight scene, and I hate writing fight scenes, because I never know how to describe what's going on. It's easy to imagine it happening, but hard to put it in words... maybe I should just skip the fight scene. Write a few "telling" lines, like "They fought. He won." and then move on the the next conversation scene. I'm good at conversation. =P

Oh well, I guess I should go write.

Yay! 13K! I think napping did help. Well, I didn't quite get to where I wanted to be, but I did get a good 2000 words, and tomorrow is Saturday, so I should be able to make up the extra thousand. Anyway, off to bed now. ^_^

17,522 words, as of now. I wrote somewhere around 2000 yesterday, and then about 2200 today, so my output's been pretty good lately. I'm only on chapter 4 right now (and I still feel like there's going to be way too much story for 50,000 words), but things are still going well. I'm hoping to be able to get at least 2000 words tomorrow. I'm going to be out of town for a couple of days this month, so I'm trying to get ahead of schedule so there won't be more frantic catching-up later on.

Keep up the good work, guys! I hope everyone's novels go well. God bless, and good luck!

I want to write, but I kinda screwed myself over by buying burgers tonight. Needless to say, I am tired and I think I may be doing some napping instead. We'll see.

If I do get things done for tonight, I will try for another 2-3K.

Well, I'm up today. If I get to 6,374 tonight, it'll be a miracle. I got some uplifting stuff, and I felt better after the burgers finally got out of my stomach.

Currently setting up the talking scene between Lanie and Brad, talking about the filler of what happened in the 3 years since "the party".

ADDED: I made it to 5,776 words. 11.55% of the total. And that was done in the last 3 days. Pretty sweet, I think. I'll be able to do more as the weekend passes.
