Your right. Most of the edits that Sci Fi Channel does is to show more commercials. The only time that they really do an edit is to censor or really blur nudity or sex from anime, which is the only thing that Adult Swim does now.

Makes me wonder if Sci-Fi managed to get its airing rights extremely cheap, and is mostly using it for time filler.

Same here, since Gundam 00 will be taken a break in Feb. I have a feeling that Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit may end up on Sci Fi Channel for long.

Wish Sci Fi would put more anime on the channel. I know they tried Tuesday night Ani block but I guess it didn't workout.
They use to have anime on Saturday mornings and evenings when it started.
I think they had week day morning shows for a while too.
Funmation channel doesn't show here unless I get Verizon Fios.
It would be nice to have a dedicate all anime network for all anime series.
Like Salior Moon, Do Ri Me, One Piece, Zatch Bell, Dragon Ball and there would be others that could be grabbed up.
Thats how the anime viewers became to be because of shows shown on network or local tv channels.
I remember seeing anime locally before Cartoon Network came to be.
Now I think back in the 90s Cartoon Network was at the anime cons begging con goers to write to their cable providers to help get them on the cable programing so now after all that help and the years gone by they turn around shove off anime.

It didn't. The ratings are okay, but not great. The only problem with them putting more on is, they going to have to deal with more then two anime companies.

Maybe this will happen, since Dentsu has transfer the majority ownership in its Geneon Entertainment home video subsidiary to NBC Universal Pictures International Entertainmnent.

Sci Fi Channel is part of the entertainment conglomerate NBC Universal.

I just want to say that I really appreciate all your updates, Roy. You've always been more accurate than TV listings, and you've helped me find out where Cartoon Network was moving Bleach to from week to week.

Yeah, he has been doing this for quite a while and his dedication to it is unceasing. I think Roy should get the Anime on TV Schedule award!

And what is this award? Yeah you guessed it, it is Pocky and Ramnue soda!

But yeah, we should not take Roy for granted because it makes finding out about anime on cable much easier and sooner. Also he does not get paid for this, so Im eternally grateful! Thanks Roy!

I agree that Roy should be thanked for this.

One question though... who stays up that late to watch anime? O_O

Hey Roy do you know when they will start showing Gundam 00 again.
The press release when it first started said it would end during spring.
Is February considered spring in TV business language?

Gundam 00 will air the first season's finale this Monday, February 9th.
After this it will go on a short break for a few months before picking up with the second season.

Looks like they will be re-airing Gurren Lagann, starting in March, so I'm assuming Gundam 00 will continue once that is finished.

No date for it currently.

Viz seems to be concentrating on subtitled online streaming at the moment.

Has Cartoon Network shut down Naruto? Last week was a Naruto rerun from way back and tonight they have 6Teen from 8PM to 10PM.
The Action Theater was running the same stuff over and over so now they changed everything.

Not really sure if they have or not. They just have ten more eps to go and then they are done. Even Hulu and Joost and other net channels don't have any of ten eps left.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 has been drop from Adult Swim's lineup for now. I hear that it maybe nine weeks before the rest of the series airs on AS. I have a feeling that maybe the rest of Geass has not been dubbed or since Bandai is running into problems as a of late. They had to cut down on their dub and dvd releases.

If you haven't seen the first sereis of Code Geass, then you can watch all of the 25 episodes on Bandai Entertainment's YouTube channel with the choice of English subtitles or English dubbing. Also, the first episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 has also been added to their channel as well.

Let me fix what I said as it wasn't very clear about the drop of Code Geass.

No new eps of Code Geass R2 for now, but they are going to start right at the beginning with two eps each starting at 1:30 am.

Bleach will be moved to 12:30 am and they will air two eps each.

The new ep of Bleach will air at 1:00 am and the ep at 12:30 will be last Sat's new ep.

The lineup will look like this starting this Sat.

10:00 p.m. King Of the Hill

10:30 p.m. King Of the Hill

11:00 p.m. American Dad

11:30 p.m. Robot Chicken

11:45 p.m. Robot Chicken

12:00 a.m. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

12:30 a.m. Bleach

1:00 a.m. Bleach (new ep)

1:30 a.m. Code Geass

2:00 a.m. Code Geass

2:30 a.m. Fullmetal Alchemist

3:00 a.m. Death Note

3:30 a.m. Ghost In The Shell

4:00 a.m. Cowboy Bebop

4:30 a.m. Big O

5:00 a.m. Inuyasha

5:30 a.m. Inuyasha

I've read something about two new episodes of Bleach per week starting with the Arrancar arc. Can you confirm this, and will they be 12:30-1 am like now?

So far, I haven't heard a word about that. Episode 109 is the last of the filler arc and it will air on April 11.

Then the Arrancar arc will start, but haven't seen any news that they will show two new eps.

But I did look from what I seen as the block lineup, that it maybe true as two new episodes starting with the Arrancar.

I will look into it more and see what I can find out.

Also, Cartoon Network had their Upfront on Wednesday and no anime was listed or talk about.

Crunchyroll's spring season pickups include:
Shangri-la and Saki, the two GONZO anime that are airing
La Corda D'oro, which, in addition to getting the first season, is getting the ~second passo~ specials simulcast
Chi's Sweet Home, the first season and the second season that's airing in spring
Mainichi Kaasan

Apparently, this is the first part and there are more. I don't think there's too much that's surprising, since it's assumed that GONZO's stuff would be thrown up at some point.

Okay, I got some new info about Adult Swim.

Two new episodes of Bleach per week will start on April 18.

Looks like things are fix with Bandai and Adult Swim. Two new episodes per week of Code Geass starting May 9.

In non anime news, GI Joe: Resolute animation movie will premiere April 25th at midnight on Adult Swim.

ANN wrote:The North American anime distributor Funimation has announced that it signed a partnership with Toei Animation to start distributing the following seven titles on its website:

Air Master
Captain Harlock
Digimon Adventure 02
Fist of the North Star
Galaxy Express
Pretty Cure
Slam Dunk

Toei Animation itself tried to enter the North American DVD market in 2005 by releasing Air Master, Slam Dunk, and another title (Interlude), but only shipped the first volumes before leaving the market. The Crunchyroll media distribution website streams most of these titles except Air Master, even though it lists Air Master as a potential title.
