Animorphs Fanfic: The Rookie

Postby rocklobster » Sat May 16, 2009 5:03 am

I've decided to write my own Animorphs Fanfic based on the idea I had for my RPG. I"m going to write it similarly to the style APplegate uses, but with a unique twist. At least, I hope it's unique. Here goes!

We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us...well, we just won't let them find us. The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you.
Chapter 1
My name is Michael. That's all you're getting out of me. Because I don't trust you or most other people either. Why? Because the world is in very real danger. That includes you, reader.
Let me tell you about myself. If you're reading this, chances are you've got a roof over your head and very little to worry about. Me? I'm an orphan. But I'm a lucky one. I got an uncle. He's a Catholic deacon named Matthias. And I got a cousin named Gabrielle. My uncle knows lots about our religion and has the library to prove it. Gabrielle's speciality is technology. She can take anything with wires apart and not only figure out how it works, but put it all back together. SHe's the reason our computer is in such good shape. I've got a dog named Ace. I've never taken any of that for granted.
I'm also Mr. Popularity. I make friends easily, because I'm the friendliest kid in school. But one day, my uncle said the words that every popular kid probably never wants to hear.
"Everyone, we're moving next week."
"What?" I asked. "Why?"
"There's a church that needs a new deacon. I volunteered."
"But Uncle Matthias, I like it here. I thought you did too." I said, trying to hide my anger that he didn't talk with me first.
"Sorry but the decision's final." he said.
"Oh don't worry about it." Said Gabrielle. "You have almost no trouble making friends. You can get anyone to trust you."
"You think that happened overnight?" I asked. "It took years. And now I'll have to start all over again."
But I had no idea just how scary my life was going to get.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. I appointed you to be a prophet of all nations."
