Well, I don't usually make up my mind about a series before I have read several chapters of it. What you have so far looks promising. The real test will come when you introduce the main plot line. It may be tricky to give angels a reason to need the help of wimpy human beings (assuming that is where you are going with this, it is hard to tell from just a few pages).

On a side note, have you read the comic "Archangels"?

Fair enough. I read a few issues of Archangels: The Saga a decade or so ago and remember them being quite similar to what you seem to be doing. I wondered if they were an inspiration.

Well, believe it or not, my manga was actually inspired by Transformers (the Michael Bay movie).

I like you're art style. Simple, not overly detailed (a good thing IMO), but nicely stylized... very good.

Finally, someone said something!!! I have been talking with ppl about my art and they say they "kinda like it" bc it's not overly-detailed (unlike the Death Note artist or any of the "American" comic book artists, which makes no sense at all to me). I mean, some of the most famous manga in history had very simple and non-overly-detailed art (aka DBZ, Naruto and One Piece)!

Oh no, simple and stylized is the best! That's how I got interested in anime in the first place. I liked the art... simple and stylized. That's my problem trying to draw manga... I start off with too much detail and it ends up taking forever, or looking messy/like crap. Then I get bored and trash it or just never finish it. Whenever I TRY to draw characters... they look like crap. The best come when I'm just doodling not trying to make it good or anything... just nice simple sketches...

I also liked you're action shots (a lot of amateur manga either has no action or very stilted action where they look kind of wooden in their pose). You have some pretty good angles and keeps it exciting. I'm sure you can get better too.

My only critique would be to work on the hands... they're too detailed for the rest of the picture and they look a little funny with all the lines on them... and some pictures the hands are a bit small... but other than that, I really like it. Oh and possibly work on profiles a bit more so not all the characters look so similar and makes each one stand out more. The three guys look pretty similar with slight only slight variations. But no big deal.

And that's exactly what I have telling my buddies why I don't do, over-the-top art, bc a story better told with simple art. Just look at Dragonball/Dragonball Z. The style is very simple and not over-the-top. It lets the reader focus on the story and not on the flashy detail.

I love the armor dude. It makes me nostalgic for the days of power rangers.

My only problem is with how you introduced the main character. It made him seem like a very sterotypical character.

But I'll wait until you kick in with the plot before I make any more judgments.
