PAX East! March 26-28 2010

Penny Arcade Expo is coming to the eastern side of the continent (finally)! Running in Boston MA March 26-28 2010. My group (or at least some of my group) is heavily considering going.

PAX is known for it's quality guests, fantastic tournaments, and gaming goodness of all kinds. That I know of they support LANing (PC and Console both) and Tabletop (Wargaming and Roleplaying both), and heck they might even have Larping there.

Anyone else considering?

I went to PAX last year and it was pretty fantastic. I really enjoyed the panels that I went to and the concerts were amazing. There's so much to do that you should figure out what you want to check out before you dive in. Since I went to so many panels and took a few rounds around the expo hall, I didn't actually do that much gaming. On the other hand, waiting in lines was great for my TWEWY pins, since there's such a massive concentration of DS wireless signals.

I'm thinking about going to PAX East since I have a work term that term, but it's pretty dependent on where I end up working.

I'm pretty hardcore excited about the amount of DS activity there. I need to finds me some multiplayer games before I take off for it. I'm unsure about taking my gaming rig all the way to boston (especially with other people in the car) but there are, as you said, so many other things to do!

It's tough. I'd love to go to PAX, but it's in Boston which is a pretty long trip, and my current unemployment status means I have to be a bit tighter with my money. :\

So while it would be amazing, unless I end up somehow inheiriting a million dollars from a long lost uncle I never knew I had, I don't think I'm gonna be making it.

I drool at the idea of participating in a TF2 tournament there...

Unless you're really serious about BYOB, it's probably not worth dragging your gaming box over there. On the other hand, it seems like the DS was made for PAX. It's definitely the number one waiting-in-line timekiller. I also found out that TWEWY can only handle eleven wifi connections before crashing out of Mingle mode (☞゚∀゚)☞.

Speaking of PAX, is anyone going to PAX Prime in Seattle? It's only about a month away now.
