As for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time...I loved that movie. And I really liked the ending. Although it wasn't traditional, it had a traditional sweetness to it, I think - not really all that far different from Whisper of the Heart, really.

Atria35 (post: 1456079) wrote:He had
one jump left- the one he used to return to his own time. That was it. You can't refill jumps on yourself- that's why when Makoto leapt back in time, she lost jumps instead of refilling. So when he jumped in time, he couldn't have gotten more.
MangaRocks! (post: 1456086) wrote:Um, I did know that.
It's actually the walnut-looking things that refill the jumps, but he didn't have any other extra ones with him aside from the one Makoto had used. So at the end he did use his last remaining jump to return to his own time-- he had clearly gone-- but then he came back to give her that little hug and tell her that he'd wait for her in the future. So he had to have gotten another 'walnut' from his own time and refilled.
Atria35 (post: 1456088) wrote:There's debate on that, because
it's possible he hadn't really "jumped" at that point. And it was said earlier that it was the only prototype.
MangaRocks! (post: 1456093) wrote:Hmm...
Well, if he hadn't jumped at that point, then apparently he also has the power of invisibility, because I don't think there's any other way he could have disappeared like that in that amount of time.
As for the prototype thing-- wow, that's weird, I actually don't recall hearing that (ugh, somehow I must have missed that line!:forehead: ). Whether or not it was a prototype, though, didn't he say that his people had been time-jumping at will? That means they must be able to refill their jumps somehow, even if not by use of the 'walnut'.
Atria35 (post: 1456099) wrote:
We don't know if he'd actually disappeared at that time- he went out-of-frame for sure, but he could have been running for the actual jump at that time. But no- he never said that they'd been time-jumping at will. I'm not sure where you got that line from. It was entirely experimental at that time.
Yeah, I thought the "extra" episodes (it was originally supposed to air 26 episodes but was so popular, they got to make more) kind of blunted the momentum of the series, though I was pulling so hard for him to end up w/ Misa.ShiroiHikari (post: 1456030) wrote:Other than that I thought it was a pretty decent show.
AnimeGirl (post: 1456206) wrote:So I just started on Ghost Hunt. Been looking for a good anime in the supernatural genre (I LOVE scary stuff!). I watched the first 3 episodes. How I discovered it is I read a review on my friend's blog, and it sounded cool enough. Then I checked out the dub voice cast and was like "No way!!! Practically all the main characters are voiced by my favorites!!!" (except the medium, she has a nice voice, but I have not heard her before that I know of. Perhaps she'll become a new fave). And Jason Liebrecht.....with an Austraillian accent? XD!!! That was so awesome, I was NOT expecting that! He's pretty good at it, too! This counts as the fourth role I have seen him in. Also, Todd Haberkorn is in it!! And Caitlin Glass! And Colleen Clinkenbeard! And Travis Willingham! And I better stop blabbering now...
MangaRocks! (post: 1456467) wrote:*Whew!* So, that's what I've been watching. (Sorry for the kinda epic length! )

Three awesome things about Gaogaigar.
(1.) It contains robots who are also ninjas. *head esplodes*
(2.) The main robot forcibly removes the "hearts" (which look like brains) of the villainous robots. Indiana Jones style.
(3.) There is a secondary villain whose name is Pizza.
