The Bug War: An Ender's Game-style RP

Note: This is not based on Ender's Game, but it is inspired by it. It is an original idea with a little nod to Orson Scott Card's epic series. BTW, if you haven't read Ender's Game and/or its sequels, you should.
Welcome to the future, or what there is of it. Earth has been invaded by giant insect-like life forms, and the world is at war. The war has gotten so out of hand that the military has recruited people younger than 18 and people have been bred sort of like the kind seen in Gundam Seed and Ender's Game to enhance intelligence.
Here's a sign-up sheet:

Field: This is your character's expertise. For example: biology, psychology, combat, communications, etc.

And here's my character to start things off:

Name: Karen Scott Card (yep, named her after the writer of Ender's Game)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Eyes: aquamarine
Hair: strawberry-blonde
Other Physical Characteristics (tattoos, piercing, skin color, etc): Her ears are pierced and her skin is slightly tanned.
Personality: Karen is quite business-minded and charismatic. She wishes she didn't have to fight, but it's all she knows.
Bio: Karen was taken from her family at the age of five and recruited into the war. Because of this, she knows nothing but fighting.
Field: Combat (she's not only handy with a gun, but is well-skilled in martial arts if the situation arises)
Note: if anyone wants to play the enemy aliens, let me know via PM and I'll give the character a looking over.

My character is a girl who's half robot.

Name: Ai Hikari
Age: 13
Gender: Female

Personality: Outgoing, kind, can get very aggressive when provoked, sarcastic, has a sense of humor.
Bio: At the start of the story she wakes up in a glass tube set in an abandoned lab in a deserted part of the city. Once she breaks out of it, she look around until she finda a computer that barely works with an unsent email about her. The problem is that Ai can't remember anything besides her own name.
Field: Combat
Weapons: She can manipulate her hair in many ways, including changing them into different weapons. Her robot side can also hack into security systems and computer networks, and can control a robot or other device once she hacks in it.

Hey I just got an idea. Why not make it like your character's robot side can hack into security systems and computer networks?

She had a tattoo of a Chinese dragon encircling her upper left arm.
Personality: Appears to be friendly, but tends to be more of a watcher and listener, squirreling away information about others just in case she needs to use it later. Rarely will volunteer any information about herself.
Bio: At the age of six, she was tapped along with other students in her class to be recruited into the war. Testing revealed she had an intelligence suited for researchers, and was shuttled into the Bio program. She's now one of the junior researchers.

She can be stupid about other stuff, so maybe it'll work out- she can't fight because she was in the Bio program!

BTW- DD, isn't your character's ability to manipulate her hair into weapons, and fire more like magic? I was kinda hoping for an explanation on how that would be possible, since this isn't a fantasy RPG....

maybe her hair's cybernetic. Or maybe it's like how Rex in Generator Rex can generate swords, propellers or whatever else he needs because his nanites react to what he's thinking and meld his body accordingly.

Other Physical Characteristics: has a a tatoo of a tiger curling around his blind(left) eye.
Personality: Cold, Collective, Agressive, Slight Tender Side, Realistic, Understanding.
Bio: Seirgei was drafted into Battle school at the age of six, a naturally tall and strong boy, he quickly gained the qualities of a leader and at the age of eleven suceeded his own Command. at the age of fourteen he graduated, at fifteen he graduated Command School and was given his own platoon trained at boarding enemy vessels.
Field: Combat Expert and Communications.
