"Huh?" Zeke said. "Hey, wait!" He ran after her, but was stopped by Rune.

"Don't, Zeke."

"Out of the way, Rune!"

Zeke passed by Rune and was almost to the door when he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. Zeke looked down at Rune and saw that he had SuckerPunched Zeke. "R-Rune? Why?" Zeke collapsed and landed on Rune, who propped him up on his back.

"Joseph," Rune said. "Thank you for the battle. You were a fantastic opponent. We still have much to learn. Perhaps we shall meet again someday." He grabbed Zeke's backpack, made sure Zeke wouldn't fall off, and dashed out the door. Zeke....Forgive me..... He dashed through the crowd and entered the forest nearby.

As Athena ran through the forest, tears sprung in her eyes. What's going on with me?! What am I?! her mind screamed. Finally, when she could run no longer, she crouched down, weeping. I'm not me anymore....I'm a monster! A freak!

Soon Bolt and Phantom found Athena where she sat. Bolt went up to her and snuggled up against her. "Don't cry Athena...." he said, tears welling in his own eyes. Phantoms stood nearby, looking to see if anyone had followed them.

"SOMEDAY?Cmon guys!"Joseph ran after him."Nuh uh.When I am around you two I can repress reaver I can almost hear him swearing in my head!I am stuck to you two like glue!Ok?Lets go!Besides....she isn't the only one with an abillity!And...I bet you have one too!"Rio and Kunai were keeping up."You mean your armor stuff?You can't tell him that?!"Joseph replied."Oh shut up.Besides we have to catch up to Athena!She is possibly the greatest person I have met.Hold on a sec...where are we?"

Zeke forced his eyes open. Oh, yeah.....RUNE IS GONNA GET IT!!!....wait a sec... He observed the clearing, glancing at the dark green grass, the amber sky, and the glistening lake before him. ....oh, dear....I didn't think he hit me THAT hard....but where are the fluffy clouds?

"You're awake. Good."

Zeke sat up and looked Rune in the face. "Alright. You have 5 seconds before I pummel your face into the ground. Go."

"This place is called Haven. I have an errand to run. Have some berries. I'm sure you must be hu--*THWACK*--ngry....."

"There. NOW we're even."

"...Fine." Rune got back up, stumbling a bit. "Anyways, stay here. The Pokemon here aren't exactly 'People-friendly'." He ran towards the forest without another word.

"Well, thanks for the advice!" Zeke grabbed an Oran berry and started nibbling.

"I wish to speak to Xatu." Rune asked. Instead of answering, the Flareon glared a heated gaze at the Absol.

"[color="Red"]We don't accept your kind here. Get lost[/color]," the Flareon finally replied.

"I ask for an audience with Xatu. Please, at least see if he will allow it!"

The Flareon rolled her eyes. "[color="red"]...Fine.[/color]" She went up the cliff, where Xatu stared at the setting sun. "[color="red"]Chief Xatu, there is an impudent Absol requesting an audience. Should I send him on his way?[/color]"

The Xatu did not avert his gaze from the sun. "[color="DarkOrchid"]....No. Allow him to come.[/color]"

The Flareon was shocked. [color="red"]What!?[/color] "[color="red"]...Yes, Chief Xatu.[/color]" She started to walk away.

"[color="DarkOrchid"]One more thing, Flare. Tell him to bring the boy with him as well.[/color]"

Flare turned around. "[color="red"]WHAT?![/color]"

"[color="DarkOrchid"]Go, Flare. Bring them here.[/color]"

Silence. "[color="red"]....Yes, Chief Xatu.[/color]" Flare ran back to the forest.

"[color="Purple"][color="DarkOrchid"]...At last....You have finally arrived.[/color][/color]"

"Man, Rune! What exactly were you doing?" Rune had come back short on breath.

"Oh, I just went to get some Chinese take out....From CHINA!"

Zeke grinned. "And you didn't even save me some?"

Rune was about to reply, but the bushes rustled behind him. Flare stepped out, and she did NOT look too happy.

"[color="red"]So, you're the human?[/color]" She asked.

Zeke looked left, then right. "Well.....I'm the only one here...so....I guess you're right!"

"[color="red"]...Cute....[/color]" Flare turned back to the forest. "[color="red"]Xatu has granted you audience. I am to escort you. But be warned. I will not slow down. So keep up or go home![/color]" She bounded back into the bushes.

"I don't know what you've been doing Rune....but I think we ought to follow her!"

"You saw that too right?"Kunai said."They vanished."Said Joseph with extreme fear."We should...go find Athena." "Agreed!"Joseph and his pokemon ran through the forest until they came upon Athena.It looked like she was crying.Joseph sat next to her and stared off into te distance."Thats how I was starting out.I felt sorry for myself.Wishing I was like everyone else.Or something like that.If it makes you feel better your power is so much cooler then mine.Wanna see?Mine is just plain stupid."

Athena whipped around to face Joseph, brushing her tears away angrily. "What are you talking about?!" she asked. Bolt was confused. "What? Others with strange powers like Athena? None of this makes sense!" he said. Phantom seated herself beside Bolt, now curious, but not letting her emotions show it.

Joseph gave Rio a look.They stood up."ARMOR ON!...I don't have to say that I just like to."He put his hand on Rio's head and Rio turned into a shiny dust.The dust circled around Joseph and bonded with his clothes and skin.It formed a outfit that looked like a human with Rio's features.Except for the headband replacing the black things Riolu have."I call this armor but actually its my skin.A secondary layer.I call it PokeArmor.I can use any attack Rio can twofold.But I look like a bad cosplay outfit!At least you LOOK cool.I am a huge nerd!"He smiled at her.

Athena stared at Joseph. "No way..." she breathed. Bolt did a little dance of slight panic. "What the heck is going on?!" he shouted. Phantom suddenly make an odd sound. Momentarily stopping, Bolt realized she was laughing behind her paw.

The Xatu did not speak to him directly. Rather, it appeared as if he was speaking to the sunset. [color="DarkOrchid"]"I had a vision a long time ago. A young couple signing a birth certificate. The name on the page was the name you now own. At first, I thought it was mere coincedence; After all, I have had visions of that kind many times. Then I had another vision. A boy, his arms stained red, carrying a violently pale, little girl.[/color]

Zeke fought the tears back. "Please....Don't say anymore..."

Xatu turned and looked at Zeke for the first time, his narrow eyes observing every feature of the human. [color="DarkOrchid"]"Three days ago, I had another vision. The boy, much older, running with an Absol through a destroyed forest. When Flare--[color="White"]He motioned towards the Flareon near them[/color]--told me an Absol had asked for audience, I knew instantly who wished to speak to me. But enough of that. I seem to have failed to introduce myself. I am Xatu. The Pokemon of Haven call me 'Chief Xatu'.[/color]

"Well, um, I'd introduce MYself...but I think you did that already."

Chief Xatu chuckled. [color="White"]"Yes, I do believe I have. Now that the introductions are finished, what is it that you require?"[/color]

Rune took a step forward. "Chief Xatu, we would like for you to tell us the future."

Zeke, surprised, went over to Rune and whispered, "The future? What for?"

Xatu, however, was not surprised. [color="DarkOrchid"]"Yes, I do have the power to see events yet to come. Unfortunately, this is not as simple as it appears. There are....consequences. But I will try.[/color] He went to the tip of the cliff and looked into the sunset. Zeke watched all the Pokemon in the clearing. There were some Poliwags playing in the spring, a Kangaskan resting against a tree, and Deerlings grazing on the grass.

"Rune, what exactly is this place?"

"This is Haven. A village, you could say. Here, Pokemon are at peace. And they are safe from the outside world."

Zeke stared at the sky. When they arrived, the sky was amber. Now the sky had begun to darken into purple, dotted with red clouds.

"I wonder what could happen...in the future..."

"PLEASE DON'T BE SCARED!"A desperate plea could be heard in his voice and a few tears could be seen for a sec as he said it."I mean."He calmed down."I thought you would understand...but I am still not helping.Even without....I mean...all I do is hurt people.No matter what.Give me a sec...I'll leave."He slumped down and held his legs.

"I am searching for answers too."He unbonds from Rio and Rio turns into the dust.The dust combines into Rio."There is one thing.I thought er think that sometimes...I have lived longer then I have.I feel like a part of my life was blanked out by someone.That there is something missing from my memories.Have you ever felt that way?"Kunai is dumbfounded at what Joseph did and just stares.

Athena was taken aback at the request. So were Bolt and Phantom. "B-but aren't we rivals?!" asked Bolt, pointing to Joseph. "I thought so too..." answered Athena. "How many times have you battled against each oher?" inquired Phantom. "Just once." answered both Bolt and Athena. Phantom rolled her eyes. "Not what I call being rivals..." she said. Athena thought for a few minutes, then turned to Joseph. "Ok, we can travel together. Though I must warn you that I don't usually stop in places where gyms are. I don't compete to badges."

Suddenly Athena was enveloped by light again, and when it died away, she was back to normal. Suddenly realizing the blue flam in her eye was in view, she hurriedly put on her cap, which has had been gripping in her hand all the time. "Yeah, I guess." she answered. Bolt peeked out from behind the tree he hid in when the light enveloped Athena. "At least give me a warning before you do that!" he said. "Hey, I still can't control it yet." answered Athena.

"Ever heard of a GPS?" mumbled Athena sarcasticly. She took out what looked like an iPad that had a blue cover with a single white wing on the back. She started to move her hand around the screen. Soon she got to the GPS screen. "Come on." she said, going off in the way they had come. Bolt and Phantoms followed.

Zeke glanced at Rune. "Pokeballs should only be used as a last resort. Kinda like an ambulance. If a Pokemon really wanted to be friends with you and join you on your journey, they would simply follow beside you."

Flare glared at the boy, astounded. [color="red"]What? This guy just doesn't make sense! Who IS this kid?[/color]

Zeke took another look at the sky. It had become dark enough that stars could be seen. "How long does Xatu stay up there?"

Flare looked towards the cliff. [color="red"]"It can be a few minutes, or half a day. But he usually stops after the sun sets. But don't hope for much."[/color]

"Eh?"

[color="red"]"Chief Xatu's predictions aren't set in stone. They aren't absolute. A single choice can change everything, or change nothing. He has taught me this and many other things, ever since I was just an Eevee. I owe him more than everything. He found me when I needed it most...."[/color]

"It almost sounds like he adopted you!"

Sensing he had said something Joseph only said."When I said we would connect I had no idea.And ummm I am sorry for bringing it up."Rio suddenly looked like all Hell was about to break loose.Genuine fear was in his eyes.(Sadness,Hate,Fear or any emotion besides pure happy cockyness summons reaver)But reaver didn't come.In fact reaver should have come a while ago.But something was repressing him.When Joseph had realized he had felt sad and guilty and Reaver didn't come he left off like a aura of happiness that Rio picked up on.It was short but enough to reignite Joseph's real reason for his journey.A cure for multiple personality disorder.He walked backwards to look at Athena who was having a moment with Bolt.Jospeh realized he was blushing.(He does this for just about everything.)And promptly fell backwards down a hill.When he reached the bottom he picked himself up and said"THAT NEVER HAPPENED!"Rio looked at Kunai,Phantom,Bolt and Athena."He means well but I think there is something wrong with Joseph sometimes." Kunai nervously asked."Hey Rio.Could I try that armor thing with Joseph?" Rio replied."Maybe one day."

The black Rapidash reared up, snorting flames. It's rider looked at it and nodded in understanding. They were close to finding the target.

Athena didn't answer, but just glanced up from the touch pad for a second. She smirked slightly when Joseph tumbled down the small hill, then looked back down. Pretty soon they came to the edge of the nearest town. "Well, here we are." she said, putting the touch pad away after turning it off.

Rio jumped down besides Joseph."You do realize she more then likely pities you?"He said quietly."You have zero social skills.Maybe we should ditch her.Save us some heartbreak."Joseph shot Rio a glance."Have a bit more faith in people.Dia!Race you to the pokemon center!Last one there gets the couch!"He then ran as fast as he could towards the nearest red roof building.Then he tripped on his own feet.He got up and kept running."Ha no way she could catch up now.I win.Catch my breath for a sec."Rio stared blankly for a sec then quick attacked off after him.Kunai was panting trying to keep up.

Rune snored in reply.

There was no way over, under, or around the wall. Yet, as they continued to stare at the wall, they did not notice that a second wall had appeared behind them."[/color] Xatu stopped and opened his eyes.
[color="DarkOrchid"]"Child, Danger has been following you since the moment you started this journey."[/color]

Zeke drew a sharp breath. "What do you mean?"

Xatu did not answer. Instead, he turned and looked at Rune, who amazingly was sleeping. [color="DarkOrchid"]"...Do you know the myth of the Absol?"[/color]

"The what?"

[color="DarkOrchid"]"Absol are known as the 'Disaster Pokemon' because, no matter where they go, disaster always follows...."[/color]

Zeke looked at Rune. That CAN'T be true!...Yeah, there have been some...problems along the way....but....

[color="DarkOrchid"]"I understand your concern. Perhaps it would be better if you were to....continue alone."[/color]

Whirling around, Zeke shouted, "I would never do that! You may see the future, but you don't know ANYTHING about Rune! I saved his life! And he has saved mine on more than one account. If Rune wants to stay, then he can. But I will never abandon him!"

Xatu was silent. Flare's eyes widened. [color="Red"]Woah...I...I've never seen a human stand up for a Pokemon before...much less an Absol...Maybe he...[/color]

Suddenly, Xatu burst into laughter. [color="DarkOrchid"]"Hahaha! At long last! Your true colors have shown through!"[/color] Xatu coughed a couple times. [color="DarkOrchid"]"Ahem...anyways, you have past my test. As a reward, I shall now finish my vision.

"The three were cornered between the wall in front and the wall closing in behind them. However, one of them took a step back and jumped through the wall. The others quickly followed. The walls collided, extinguishing each other, while the three continued along the path. Yet, there was a small ember that followed them."[/color]

Zeke was both angry and confused. ...Okay...so it was a test...and I passed?...but what does all this mean?

Xatu looked up at the sky. [color="DarkOrchid"]"My, my....Is it that late already? I suppose that you and your companion need rest. If you like, you may stay here for the night. But, a word of advice: Make sure you leave before sunrise."[/color]

Zeke bowed a little. "Thank you, Chief Xatu."

[color="DarkOrchid"]"Now...I am going to get some sleep. Good night."[/color] He walked back towards the cliff.

Flare shuffled her feet for a little bit. [color="Red"]"I...er...should probably get going too...G-goodnight!"[/color] She quickly hurried to catch up with Xatu.

Zeke stared after her for a while. "She seemed....off, somehow..."

"No kidding."

Zeke jumped and looked down at a fully awakened Rune. "...How long have you been awake?"

"Long enough."

"Right." Zeke found his bag and pulled out a small package and dumped its contents onto the ground. "Alright, let's make a tent! Now part A goes to part B....."

BIC: "Come on Athena! Don't let him win!" said Bolt. He watched as a small gleam came into Athena's eyes. The next moment she was off like a shot, and rapidly catching up to Joseph. Suddenly Phantom rocketed past both her and Joseph, and kept her lead.
