Joanne's words had a bit of an effect on Anei. That's better then what anyone would say to me... she thought. But it still wasn't enough. Joanne didn't understand. She had no idea of who Anei was. She jumped in surprise when a large male white dragon ran up and rested his head on Len's neck. Len looked equally surprised. He still wasn't used to Minerva being her mother, and now he had a father too?

ooc: Poor Len, he's so confused.

OOC: *is coming back to read all these pages* Holy Iawia! I've missed everything! Hopefully Rockie won't mind, but I want to jump in really quick. And so everyone knows: I should be able to slowly transition back in and take claim of my characters. Sorry about leaving y'all and thanks for your help Rockie....though you make my characters so nice.

--Resistance Camp--

Nefron was smiling as his eye beheld the young dragon that was just a wyvern when he had to be given for the Great Caves.

"It is wonderful to see you again and to see how you have grown."


--Adelphi--

Ariel glanced around the kingdom from the top of her bedroon tower. The fair golden haired goddess had worry about her. Iawia's condition was growing worse and worse with each passing day, and it had been days since she had even seen her mother Sophia: all of her time was primarily devoted to seeing and caring for her celestial grandmother.

She slowly floated around the chamber, donning her robes and moved silently amongst the busy and worried angels. Her feet brought her to a familiar door. She knocked softly and the door soon opened.

"Princess....good morning."

Ariel surveyed the pale, weathered angel with a heavy heart. She accepted her offer to come inside and sat on a lounge chair beside the great fire.

"You are not looking well, Aaliyah."

"I thought I was the blunt one, Princess Ariel."

"And you are, but being direct with you is the only way to engage an answer from you..."

"I see...how is the Great Mother?"

" I think you know, Aaliyah. Your health is still extremely poor....you haven't even been able to retrieve Morigan, muchless travel between the realms."

"I'm sorry, Princess...."

"And the other situation....?"

"What?"

"You cannot keep secrets from me, Aaliyah. Did anyone else know?"

"No....", she said at almost a whisper.

"How far along?"

"I have only felt its presence for a few weeks...."

"And?"

"And I'm not sure if it is still there.....I cannot feel it anymore....", the angel whispered in tears.

"Have you still been severely sick because of Iawia?"

"Yes..."

"And Micheal?"

"He has been entirely devoted to helping her Majesty Sophia.....so I haven't really seen him much at all...so he and the children are unaware."

"You have always been gifted at keeping secrets...."

Hot tears rolled down Aaliyah's face as she nodded in agreement. The young goddess walked over and kneeled at the angel's side.

"Princess, no....", the angel protested in shame at the goddess being lower than herself.
Ariel shook her head and placed her hand on top of Aaliyah's womb. Golden light poured into the angel. When the light faded, Ariel sat down somewhat exhausted.

"Princess....thank you."

"I'd do anything for you, Aaliyah. Though very faint, I can sense the life force there. You need to undergo bed rest for a few weeks...then return to Krangor to deliver message and help the Resistance. But I don't want you using your powers after you hit the Soltice..."

"Of course...."

"And Aaliyah?"

The angel rose as Ariel headed to the door. "Yes Princess?"

"Tell him."

"Of course..."

"And I have an idea to restore your abilities....but I must speak to my mother to see if it could be done..."

"Princess..."

"We would have to sever your bond between Iawia- your creator. Then you would create your bond with me. There is only one real danger...."

"My human-based soul..."

"Or the small piece salvaged from Pandora. There is a possibility that the piece of human soul you possess will not be able to be saved...."

"And if it isn't?"

"You will cease to exist as an angel....and what form is left will be cast into Heilgrad....to Pandora herself."

"Can nothing be done about my human soul?"

"Nothing to the point of where you are thinking, Aaliyah. Saiyanna will always be a part of you....like the transformation of a butterfly. Your human soul is why you are so important....why only you can weld the Myerian Stone Scythe and travel outside of Adelphi."

" I understand... and if the process is done?"

"If successful, you will regain your abilities and be able to resume your job..."

"And....the other one?"

"Will definately be saved..."

"I understand....thank you for seeing me, Princess."

Eruan chuckled at Len's confusion. 'Don't worry. It'll only be like this until you get your memories back.' He glanced over at Anei, He smiled gently. "So, how's the bite doing?"

[Ally-Ann]

--Karin--
Karin was almost completely into her practice when she saw Eulalia. She smiled. There were times when she felt as though Eulalia was her own daughter. Which was actually part of the reason she was so hard on her. She knew from her own upbringing by Sophia that sometimes you have to be harsh with children and then when they get older, they may reflect and realize it was done for their own good.
"Good morning, Eulalia. I was so busy exercising I didn't see you there." At that moment, her unborn child got restless. "I think your soon-to-be younger sibling is kicking me again."

Eulalia looked at Karin and tilted her head slightly. My soon-to-be younger sibling? Does she think of me as her...? No, that's impossible. We're polar opposites!

"Really? What's it like?" Eulalia asked, letting curiosity get the better of her. She typically wasn't arrogant and confident in the mornings. Berenike always joked that it was because Eulalia had to get warmed up first.



=Aristcoles and Chrysanthe=

As Aritocles and Chrysanthe went further into the camp, Chrysanthe became tense. Eulalia was here and they hadn't seen eachother since being in the orphanage.

"Why are you tense, little one?" Aristocles asked.

"I-it's just been so long since I've seen Eulalia. I'm not sure what she'll be like," Chrysanthe said. She got nervous easily despite wanting to become more confident and powerful than Eulalia.

"It'll be fine. No doubt she's still that same seven-year-old that called everyone peasants," Aristocles replied with a smirk.

Joanne sighed. She was not one for showing anger, but this was making her cross. She wouldn't be able to do a proper mind meld with all this commotion distracting Anei.
"Um everyone, I'm sorry, but Anei and I need to find someplace to be alone. Girl talk." she said, as calmly as she could.
OOC: Have Anei follow her.
Minerva noticed Jason. "Why Jason. This is a day for returning faces, to be sure." Minerva said. "How've you been?"

"Why don't you find out for yourself?" she said, inviting her to feel her stomach.
Karin's dragon Nolk noticed the new arrival.
"Hello there, little girl." she said to Chrysanthe.

Eruan was surprised by Joanne's reaction. "Alright..." He raised an eyebrow, shook his head. And walked off. 'So what do you think of the two?' It took only a moment for Saphira to respond. 'I think that they're genuinely confused. If we get the chance, we should talk with them. See if we can find anything out about how they escaped.' He walked over to where she was lying down. 'But won't Minerva and Nefron want to know first?' He nodded. 'And that's why, if we find anything out, they'll be the ones we tell.'
He leaned against her flank.

Anei followed Joanne at a slower pace. She still didn't really trust her, but for that matter she had never really trusted anyone besides Len. Len was her one and only confidence, the one she truly could trust.

Len could guess what his companion was thinking as she trailed behind Joanne. He was hardly paying attention to anyone else anymore. He was just worried for Anei.

[Derek_Is_Me]

Jason smiled at Nefron and the hatchling. It had been awhile since he had seen a young dragon. What joy it brought him to see such a wonderful thing.

'It is good to see such a young one alive and well. I wish your family all the joy and happiness in the world.'stated Arashi to Nefron.

'As do I."said Jason.

[Ally-Ann]

--Karin--
"Why don't you find out for yourself?" she said, inviting her to feel her stomach.
Karin's dragon Nolk noticed the new arrival.
"Hello there, little girl." she said to Chrysanthe.

Eulalia's eyes widened slightly and she nodded her excitedly.

She's still acts like a little child sometimes... Berenike thought.

Eulalia walked a little closer to Karin and and tentatively layed her hand on her stomach. When she felt the child kick, Eulalia eyes widened even more. She looked at Karin's face, then back to her stomach, then back to her face quickly. This happened a few more times before Eulalia smiled. I wonder what the baby will be like... Will he or she like me? What if he or she doesn't like me?... Wait. What am I getting worked up over?!


=Aristocles and Chrysanthe=


Chrysanthe looked at the Nolk and inched closer to Aristocles, if that was even possible. "H-hello..." she said timidly.

"Hello there," Aristocles said to the Nolk, bowing his head. "My name is Kleon, and this is my companion, Chrysanthe." Chrysanthe nodded her head as another hello. "We are newcomers here and would like to join the Resistance. Might you know how we join?" Chrysanthe looked at the dragon that had spoken to her first and tilted her head.

I wonder whose dragon she is. She seems friendly... Chrysanthe thought, moving a few inches away from Aristocles to give him some space.

"I see no reason against it." said Set. He placed a basket on Ba-Pef. "Ba-Pef, you handle the fruits and nuts. Alen and I will handle the meat."
Ba-pef nodded.
"Come on, I saw some yachen in a thicket nearby."

"I suppose I should use bow then." Alen replaced Hochsturm and took a longbow from one of the bags containing his equipment, deftly stringing it in one practiced motion.

"I've hunted those before. Let's go." he said as he followed Set into the woods, Yalasna flying off to a seperate section to hunt on her own.

"Well, first you'll have to speak with Karin's sister. She's our leader, of sorts. Her name's Joanne. You'll find her with a silver dragon named Kilin."
--Joanne--
Joanne led Anei into a clearing. She looked around. Only the butterflies and other insects could be seen. There were birds in the trees, but they weren't paying attention either. This would be perfect.
She closed her eyes and placed a hand on Anei's temple. Calming, relaxing energy was sent directly into Anei's consciousness, which would hopefully make her let her guard down.
--Set--
"Well, if you do good enough, maybe you can help me. Ba-Pef's good at foraging, but that's it. The only reason we have to forage at all is that my wife and her apprentice are forbidden from eating meat."
He crouched behind a bush. "She doesn't know what she's missing. Yachen taste pretty good."
--Xavier--
"Hey Trevor, mind if I join in?" the boy asked. "I've fished with my dad several times."

Anei's eyes half closed, feeling the calming waves. She tried to keep her guard up, but in the end she let it down.

Trevor stared at the water. Nothing was moving. With a sigh, he slowly passed the hastily made fishing rod to the young boy. He might have better luck than me....

Joanne smiled and said soothingly. "I understand why you don't trust me. But you have no reason to fear me." She said, secretly working an enchantment. "I do not wish to harm you."
Within seconds, she had entered the girl's mind. She saw the girl's true self, but she also saw Pandora.
"Why do you wish to help my daughter. Oh, she hasn't told you? She's my child. You certainly don't want to help her, do you? After what I did to your parents?" she said.
"That was you." Joanne said. "Not her. She is innocent of that crime. And the anger and grief I felt at their loss died with them long ago, anyway. All I see before me is a scared little girl. And an old enemy I already bested." She turned to Anei. "Anei, this is up to you. Who will you trust? A woman who can only deceive and hate? Or me, a kind woman who only acts in love?"

Xavier took the rod and casted it perfectly.
"That's a surprise. That's the first time I got it right." Xavier said. "What kind of bait do you have here, anyway?"

"I have to do something....", Aaliyah muttered to herself as she tried to figure out if Ariel's plan was possible, what would her best plan of action be. If what Ariel said was true, it wasn't just her life at stake for the time being, and because the life force was barely noticable with the goddess, she needed to choice wisely.

Slowly she stood up, feeling the world rush around her as she did so. She made it a few steps before collapsing to the ground; her body seized and she began to cough violently with black splashes hitting the marble floors. After the fit was over, she wiped the evidence of her condition away and put on her plainest black robes and sash before leaving. She made it down the first three corridors of steps before feeling light-headed again; the frightening feeling of falling overtook her body before she felt something catch her. Something warm and smooth. Her hands glided over the large green scales of a dragon with concerned eyes.

"Shaalon.....thank you....I lost my...."

"Angels are not supposed to lie, Aaliyah."

"So I've heard....I'm sorry. I'm just not feeling well."

"You need to return to bed."

"No...I need to do a few things-one being talk with you."

"With me?"

"Yes...I need you to carry a message along to Minerva for Joanne and Reika."

"Why Joanne and Reika?"

"Because of my guardianship over Reika."

"The Death Angel has a child she guards?"

"Please don't taunt me or even ask.....but I need you to contact Minerva and tell her....tell them to watch Reika. If you can, please let me connect to a dreamwave with you so I can tell Reika myself....in a ways."

"I understand. I will tell her at once."

"Thank you....I appreciate it."

"Where are you going?", the scaled sage asked as the angel began to wobble down the stairs again.

"To find my husband."

Reika suddenly felt as though lightning struck her. She gasped for breath. "What's happening to me?"
She caught a flash of Aaliyah weakening.
"Oh that's right. I forgot." Reika realized. "I must find mother. My guardian needs her help!" she exclaimed.

Good idea.Nolk said. For the moment, I don't think this new arrival is hostile, so I guess I don't need to stick close by you.
Nolk turned the new arrival. "Why don't you follow me? Joanne's rather busy at the moment, I think. But I'm sure her dragon would be able to talk with you. She's a mage, so she doesn't always need to be close to her dragon."
OOC: Just follow Nolk and we'll go from there. Have Eulalia notice that Karin was a little preoccupied and ask her if something's going on she should know about.

You know what the worst part about looking like I do is. It's not the fear in little kid's eyes when the first set them on me. It's not the assumption that just because I'm big that I'm some kind of dumbass. It's not even that the fact that I have to cut my finger to prove that I'm flesh and blood every time someone claims I'm some kind of monster. No, worse than all of these was the fact that nothing is made to fit guys my size.
I was painfully reminded of this when I sat up in my tent and busted the tent pole, for the who know's how many times I've done this.
"(Been censored for colorful language),"shouting to no one in particular.
Now, you know you shouldn't curse,Brandon.That gentle voice, that normally brought me peace, echoing through my head did nothing, but give me a target for my anger.
"I don't want to hear it, Feld."

Morigan------

Morigan arose from the place she had been laying. Sleep hadn't come to her, for she in truth needed little. Morigan's heart throbbed in an odd manner, as if someone dear to her was in great peril. Looking about her she viewed the others who were sleeping. Not wanting to awaken any of them, Morigan slipped silently off into the night. She enjoyed walking amidst the trees and brush as she had when she was a human girl.


Lann------


Little did Morigan know, that far off int he very midst of Heligard Lann was now writhing in souful agony, as Adarah's demon song penetrated the magic barriers he'd cast on himself like they were paper. To lan it felt like his very mind was being rewritten. The pain was seering him like a hot iron.

Eulalia noticed that Karin seemed a little distant for a while. "Whatcha thinkin' about?" She asked, one eye slightly narrowed in suspicion, her nosy and obervational side taking over.


Chrysanthe and Aristocles followed Nolk.

"I do not mind at all," Aristocles said with a gentle smile.

Wow, Aristocles is good at this. I've hardly said anything... Chrysanthe thought as she looked around the camp anxiously, trying to find Eulalia. I wonder what she's like now... And how she looks. Does she still have that same short hair she had when we were little? Or perhaps it's grown out? I wonder how tall she is. Taller than me, that's for sure. Chrysanthe thought, grimly noting how small she was. I wonder if she still has the same dragon...? Probably.

Chrysanthe, calm your thoughts! You will see Eulalia in time. Aristocles said.

"Come now my sweet. you wouldn't want to trust a liar like her, would you?" said Pandora in the familiar voice like silk. However, Anei could sense the venom that lay just beneath the surface. as her Mother's hand reached out towards her, Anei swiftly back away. "You never loved me. You never have, and never will." she said, her face like stone. Slowly she back away untill she was standing beside Joanne.

ooc: Writing that just made me cry a bit.

Eruan's ears twitched. Even when he was far away from Joanne, that almost magical talent she had kept flowing through the air whenever she used it. Like an overflowing cup. He could hear mutters of a conversation, a daughter leaving her mother. And a name. "Pandora..." He whispered. The air seemed to shiver in anticipation. He covered his ears. He wasn't supposed to hear that, he never was. But his ears had the strange ability to pick up things most humans cannot. 'Ugh, I hate it when that happens.' He slowly uncovered his ears. Only to find Saphira making a repeated humming noise. 'What are you laughing for?' She smiled at him. 'The fact that you're so sensitive.' He frowned. 'I mean, so sensitive about you being sensitive.' Eruan raised his eyebrow. She shook her head. 'Forget it.' She put her head back on the ground. He stood
up, and patted her on the head.

OOC: My ears are kind of sensitive, to where I can hear things that most people can't, like planes that are thousands of miles in the air.

"Pandora is an old enemy of mine. She knows nothing about love because she refused to accept Iawia's plan." Joanne said kindly. "If you side with me, I promise you will know love."

Karin sighed. She never could keep a good rhythm going with her tonfas if she was engaging in telepathic conversation. And with weapons like tonfas, rhythm was important. (for the curious, tonfas are kind of like those clubs that police use. Karin has to spin them like nunchucks to use them. That's why she has to keep a rhythm)
"If you were an enemy, I'd be dead by now." Karin sighed. "Nolk spotted a new arrival. I think you might know her. Could you explain what Chrysanthe looked like again?"

Adarah smiled. "Now, who is your master?" she asked Lann.
OOC: Address her as Mother Below, Mister and drop to one knee.
Oh, and Twister, that's fine. Your bond is supposed to give you enhanced senses because your dragon has them to.

Shaalon went back to the great chamber that was made to pay homage to the great dragons- her santuary. Slowly, she sat under a large oak tree that stretched a few hundred feet in the vast, vaulted room.

"Minerva....Minerva....can you hear me? I have message from Aaliyah to Joanne and Reika. She is growing weaker because of Iawia's worsening condition. Please watch over Reika. Also, please tell Nefron to continue watching over her daughter Morigan."

Aaliyah continued to make her way through the seemingly endless palace of light until reaching a pair of doors that stretched up and out of view. Inside was the Diamond Hall-a place for only goddesses and the highest ranking arch angels- which was were Micheal would be. An angel adorned in golden armor encrusted with the clear jewels held out a great staff.

"You are not authorized to enter this hall, Death Angel."

"I am fully aware, my nobleman", she said barely able to preform the ceremonial angelic greeting, "I am hear to request a quick audience with Micheal."

"You will address him by his proper title", the angel snapped back.

Aaliyah could feel her face flush at the sudden spurn of her temper. "I wish to speak with Arch Angel Micheal...Confidante of Goddess Sophia...and my husband."

The angel looked at her sternly; a part of him detested Aaliyah because of her lower level of power and the imperfection of her character. Usually she was aloof, but she seemed different-his dislike melted away.

"I see", he finally replied, "I will see if he can be spared for a moment."

The angel quietly slipped inside to where the highest and holiest creatures of Adelphi were discussing important matters. With great stealth, the golden angel made his way to Ariel, who was listening in the farther side of the wing about her mother's plans to take over the throne.

"Princess of Light,", the angel began bowing low.

"What is it, my good knight?"

"An angel is requesting a short audience with arch angel Micheal."

"An angel?"

"The Black Angel....my princess."

"Ahhh", as memory of her command to Aaliyah vibrated back into her memory, " I see. Thank you. I will send him out shortly."

As the angel bowed and hurried away, Ariel quietly made her way over to Micheal who seemed entranced his some maps and figures.

"Micheal, there is someone here to see you. Would you care to step out to speak with them for a moment?"

(OOC: Rockie, have Micheal come out.)

Xavier took the rod and casted it perfectly.

Trevor reached into his bag and pulled out a small piece of bread. It's all I've got, really...I'm not a very good fisherman.

Meanwhile, Revel finally woke up from his very long and enjoyable nap. He almost panicked when he saw that Trevor wasn't there, but then he remembered something about Trevor waking up before he did. Revel then decided to go pick a fight with somebody. Unfortunately, that's kind of a hard thing to do when you're a good guy....

[Mister]

Lann was released from the grasp of the Maquins and stood there for a moment, his face blank. Slowly his eyes liften to Adarah and he took to one knee. 'You are" He spoke, his voice oddly husky, "Mother Below" her bowed hsi head as he spoke her title. Sajuuk, who had been chained and dragged in by a pair of giant monstrosities, snarled and growled low through the fire resistant muzzle.

Anei looked up. The twin ruby pools were consumed in a confusing turmoil. "Love..." she murmered. "What is love?"
