Kobato episode 20 -

Aww, who would have thought that I'd actually end up loving Kobato-chan? and Ioryogi is hilarious. (And he looks just like my little blue puppy stuffed animal I've had since I was little. =3)

8/10

Anyhoo, this episode had characters from Tsubasa Chronicle, right? Well, they were awesome looking... so I might actually want to pick that series up... the only thing is, I noticed that when they were traveling from world to world, the circle that glows underneath them has zodiac symbols. =/ (So, now I shall seek a review for this on the site.)

Just finished Ouran Highschool Host Club and Fruits Basket. :) Possibly my two most favorite animes ever. The mangas are great too. Especially Fruits Basket. That is at the top of my list, so everyone wayyy up at the top of this page ^^^ that mentioned Fruits Basket, it is amazing. :) It's funny, inspiring, emotional, happy, sad, conflicting, confusing and just all around great. I loveeeee it! But, yes, the anime canNOT compare to the manga. It's just beautifully done. :)

Currently watching Soul Eater. At first, I wasn't sure what to think of it. I had tried watching it before and I had actually pretty much dropped it one episode in. (Bath scene....Oh my.) But I am really starting to like the series!!! I haven't really watched anything too action-y in quite some time so I am really enjoying it!

I wish I could wield a scythe like that...

I'm about halfway through Mushi-Shi right now. Great anime, it's different than any I've watched so far. The only series I've ever watched that was remotely similar was Haibane Renmei, because they both have this dreamy, peaceful aura...

I've also been rewatching random episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood if that counts.

Oh, and about ten episodes of Kodocha as well. It's...interesting. Sometimes gives me a headache from Sana's antics though...I've kinda dropped it for now.

Oh my goodness! I know what you mean! Love/hate relationship with that show. XD

So, I tried watching Canaan. Didn't really workout well. XD
Swearing/Needless violence. Yeah, not my thing. I suppose I should have looked it up before just taking a random person's advice about it.

Watched 2 episodes of the Nabari no Ou anime. I don't know why, but it almost feels like more was packed in within 50-page chapter than a 20 minute episode. Each episode seemed to feel like a rushed, condensed version of a chapter. Right now, I like the manga better. But it's too early in the anime for me to truly decide. I do admit, I LOVED who Funimation chose for Raimei! She was actually the voice I PICTURED in my head and was hoping they'd choose! Same with Tobari-sensei's voice!

Watched the series finale of Steins;Gate, Excellent series. I look forward to when Funimation finally releases it to DVD (which most definitely means a dub, and then I can watch it over with a NEW EXPERIENCE!)

Watched episodes 3-4 of Nabari no Ou. Oh wow! When I heard the Fuuma Chief's voice, I was all like "THAT'S THE SAME VOICE AS MAES HUGHS!!!" Perfect choice, I must say! Oh man...didn't realize how violent this anime would be. I was all like "I wish they didn't make the Kira scene last so long!!"

I've never seen "Hanibane Renmei", but if you say it's like "Mushi-Shi", which I really love, then I might have to give it a shot. Ginko is by far one of the coolest characters I've ever seen. And I love the fact that he's not on the side of either the Mushi or the humans, but he's just trying to maintain a peaceful balance between the two.

Just finished Kobato.
Man, I must have teared up at least five times during the last 3 episodes!
It had such a great ending though! I mean, I don't really like the reincarnation parts of it... but seriously, I was so happy in the end!
Kobato and Fujimoto get to be together, and I know that the age difference is now like 19 years or something... but... I'm SO HAPPY FOR THEM! d'awww!!! ^W^
And, I'm really happy that Sayaka-sensei and Okiura got back together, I knew he wasn't all bad! (I mean, how can the most handsome male in the series be evil? And if he was evil, Sayaka wouldn't have married him... I'm so glad she gets to be with the man she loves~ Oh, and the fact that he was actually protecting her. :hits_self) The ending made me laugh when it showed him helping her out at the new daycare. =3 HAPPINESS FOR EVERYBODY!
It's nice to see that everyonce and awhile.
(It's also nice to see anime characters who get a happy ending and deserve it. They all worked hard for it if you ask me. ;D)

I give it 8/10.

Yeah, it is kinda violent, but definitely not the worst out there.
There's only a handful of scenes after that one that are like that.

I loved Nabari, I'm actually finishing rewatching it with my husband right now.
(He hadn't seen it before)

I watched Bungaku Shojo the movie, last night. <3

Digimon Tamers continues to be awesome. I am getting close to the digital world arc which I am really looking forward to.

Digimon Xros Wars has been fantastic. I am trying to get through the series so I can be ready to watch the new series in a few weeks. Which I am extremely excited for.

Durarara! 3-4
I am really liking this show. The characters are a lot of fun and I like the different stories going on and I am excited for when they intersect into each other.

Again, catching up on posting in this particular thread...

Mawaru Penguindrum, ep.'s 10-11.

And, as always, my (full-spoiler) thoughts on these ep.'s are in the show's "Let's Watch!" thread. :)

Well, i've begun to watch Tai Chi Chasers on Toonzai every Saturday. Its generic so far, but it could get better.

I've also seen more episodes of Heroic Age, Spider Riders, Naruto Shippuden, and Save Me! Lollipop! this week.

D.Gray-man episode 16 - Aw, Lavi's not around for this one :( Back to Lenalee, which is fine, but Lavi was so fun. I hope he'll be back soon.

Baccano! episodes 1-6 - I started off this great show, and really like it so far! The only anime I've seen that I can think of that's more confusing than this would be Ergo Proxy, but that's the fun of it :dizzy: And I can finally agree that yes, Isaac and Miria are awesome  I'm watching the dub, and I'm glad I am - it's perfect acting, and because it's FUNimation I'm recognizing almost all the voices I hear. It's quite funny to hear Todd Haberkorn in two animes at the same time, especially when he puts on a Brooklyn accent in Baccano!

Could you elaborate? By "ending" do you mean the last scene, the last episode or the events leading up to and including the endgame? What are your specific gripes or unfulfilled expectations?

The last two episodes. It was too happy and just felt lame and out of place with the rest of the series. The build up was AMAZING but there just wasn't any sort of climax for me, they just kind of all went home happy and called it a day. =/

Just finished watching:

1) Darker Than Black: Black Contractor
2) Darker Than Black: Shikoku no Hana (manga)
3) Darker Than Black: Black Contractor Gaiden
4) Darker Than Black: Gemini of the Meteor

well animated action and interesting plot. Recommend to watch the anime (and read manga) in this chronological order. Any Darker Than Black fans out there? ;)

I haven't posted in this topic for awhile...

I finished Shinryaku! Ika Musume. I'd say it was great. The constant beach-setting was refreshing and Ika Musume was a highly amusing character.

I'm currently watching the ever-so-amusing Irresponsible Captain Tylor (episode 18), and Gokudo, which is a little bit like Slayers, but very aware of its low-budget. The English dub for Gokudo gives the main character a very fitting and well-acted voice, but nearly everyone else sounds absolutely horrible, especially side-characters. In fact, it's so bad that I prefer it to the Japanese audio, since me and my buddy are getting a kick out of this.

Is it acceptable for me to want to rate a show higher than I should for bad voice-acting? I can't tell if the company was aware of this or not. Did they do it on purpose because it was funny, or did they just not care and accidentally make this show funnier than it should be?

I dunno...that final episode of No. 6 was hilarious. My favorite part was
when Nezumi left at the end. It was like...where are you even going, Nezumi?
Oh dear, now I am laughing again.

Anyway, I decided to give the first several episodes of the Sket Dance anime a shot this weekend, since I have been a fan of the manga for some time now. Impressions? Hmm, it's not a bad adaption at all]Gintama anime). I'll probably just stick with the manga.

No. 6 eps 8-11 (complete)- Wow. What a terrible ending. I mean, it had the emotional punch that it really needed, with Holocaustian horrors, explosions, and some great fights. On the other hand, it had really, really stupid plot holes. It desperately needed that second season that they were banking on. Characterization suffered for making the plot move forward. The plot suffered because they wanted to put in characterization. No-win situation.

Hanasaku Iroha 22-25- Too tired to finish tonight but.... MINCHI AND TOHRU FOREVER. Even if it's not official, k? I totally called it. Can't wait to finish the series!

Ponyo -
I finally got around to watching it, was a little different then I expected, but I still thought it was a cute movie. 7/10.

Rahxephon episodes 1 - 6 -
SO, I have offically started watching this series, I wasn't sure if I was going to go through with it since the entire idea of the show is just plain weird.
(I read the review here on CAA.)
Buuuuut, I actually really, really like it so far. The characters are real and believable. I think that Haruka-san is pretty, still don't understand why she has a thing for Ayato since they never meet before the first episode... (Or did they? >< Something tells me he might have had his memories wiped of her or something.) And lastly, Ayato is a great main character. (And he's an struggling artist, just like me. :))
Plus, the soundtrack is wonderful and I love Mayaa Sakamoto's music, so the fact that she sings the starting theme is excellent.

8/10
