The Dragon Children: Second Generation

The angel looked over at Xaiver and smiled reassuringly as she took a seat beside Karin. Gently, she placed her hands on her, closing her eyes in prayer to help numb the pain and relax her.

The white dragon saw his mate follow after Joanne and received a message from Shaalon about the arrival of angels and Karin's labor. Assured that with Joanne receiving back up, he wondered to Gorry and Karin's hom where he found his other dragon friend with his child, the couple, and his former human. His large jaw dropped for a moment, finding it funny considering the situation of one pregnant female helping another. Gusts of cool air poured from his nostrils as he contained his laughter and ducked his head out to remain guarding the entrance.

"What old enemy?" Karin asked through gritted teeth.
"Yagami."
"That #$%^!" Karin gritted. "Hasn't he tortured Joanne enough? He almost broke her the last time." The labor pains started up again. She yelped, but as Aaliyah sent calming energy into her, the pains subsided.
"Thank you, my friend." she breathed.

Yagami cleared his throat. "It truly is wonderful to see you again, old friend! How have you been?"

[Ally-Ann]

=Eualia=

Eulalia lowered her sword and quirked an eyebrow at Yagami. She knew he was being sarcastic, but he had to have a basis for his saracasm. Did he know Joanne? He's holding up my mission... Eulalia inwardly groaned, keeping her outside expression neutral, something she had mastered over the past few months.


=Chrysanthe, Kleon, Annaliese=

Annaliese nodded at Aaliyah. She knew who the latter was, so she made sure to show the utmost respect for her. Annaliese then turned her attention back to Karin who was now lying down and smiled reassuringly. "All right, Karin, just relax. I'm going to check to see how far along you're dilated." Annaliese did just that and hummed a little. "5 centimeters. You're about half-way there." Annaliese turned to a shy-looking Chrysanthe who had been standing in the door-way. "Chrysanthe?" Chrsysanthe looked at Annaliese. "I'll be needing some towels and a small blanket in a little bit. Could you go get them for me?" Annaliese asked, though it was more of a soft command.

"Mhm," Chrysanthe hummed back before running off and retreiving some towels, Kleon following after her. Towels, towels... Where would the towels be kept? Chrysanthe thought. She opened up a closet that wasn't far from the bedroom and smiled when she found differently-colored towels. This should be good. She thought as she picked up about four. She then found a small, white blanket in the same closet. She ran back to the room where Karin and the others were.

"That was quick," Annaliese said through a slight chuckle. "Thank you."

--Joanne--
Joanne said to Eulalia "Why don't you go inside? I'm sure Morrigan can handle the mob."
She then motioned to Yagami to follow her. "I want to make one thing clear: you broke me once, but you will not do it again."
--Karin--
"Thank you, Anna and Chrysanthe." Karin breathed as she felt another one coming. "i guess it won't be long now. It's too bad Joanne has to deal with that mob."

~Lobinka~

She groaned. "Ugh, this is boring." Strych sighed. "Yes, I know. But mother said to wait until the baby was born." She stared at Strych. "She said not to be seen until the baby is born." She smirked. "Mother wouldn't mind if I stealthily took out one of her enemies." She jumped off of his back, bent the shadows around her, and ran off towards the house.

OOC: Her bloodlust is catching up with her.

~Eruan~

He watched Joanne walk off with Yagami. Suddenly he was knocked off his feet. He quickly got back to his feet. He looked around, he stopped when he noticed footprints heading towards the house. He quickly ran to the end of the trail, which kept moving, and jumped at the newest footprints. "Ah!" Her magic wore off. "Lobinka." He pulled out his blade and put it to her throat. "You're coming with me."
He took her bag of kunai, sliced off the ropes and used them to tie her hands. "Go straight into the house. Don't try anything." Saphira, I've got Emily here. I'm bringing her inside.

[Phantom_Sorano]

--Morigan--

The angel was surprised at Joanne's confidence in her; she had to follow up to it. The blonde-haired being nodded and turned her attention to the crowd.

"People, dear citizens, please put down your arms. I can assure you that Joanne and the others have no bad intentions for you or your families. These people and dragons do not seek power or profit; they are looking forward to a time of peace and prosperity. That is what they are fighting for. They are people that help and offer new oppurtunity."

The angel took a breath, clearing her throat and spreading out her soft, billowed wings before she contined.

"I used to be a human once...Mornane from the Jatte clan. My village was attacked by the followers of Pandora and after being beaten, I was dying amongst a hundred corpses. That's when a member of the Resistance appeared and gave me enough strength until I was saved and made into what you see before you. The Resistance gave me life, and family, and new hope. I promise this is all they want."

The white dragon felt sick to his stomach as his eye caught Eruan leading a familiar looking girl towards the house. He didn't like it; she had the same similiar aura to her that reminded him of his former human when she had been transformed into Saiyang.
"What is going on?", he asked, not wanting to let danger inside the house.

--Aaliyah--

"Priestess Joanne is a capable woman", the angel said reassuringly, "I know she will be alright. No small demon is a match for her. Besides, pregnant or not, I can still slice that little conniving torvick down."

She could feel the life stirring in Karin's womb; the child was getting ready to enter the world.

"Young Annaliese, would you please place the some towels in that basin over there and bring it to me please? Young Chysanthe, could you please lay a towel in the floor next to me please?", she began to laugh. "I would myself, but it's getting hard to bend with these two", she smirked as she indicated to her stomach. "All right. If you would help me through the dialations, Annaliese dear...and dear Chysanthe,would you go and hold Karin's hands...I think we are just about ready!"

~Eruan~

He grimaced. "This." He nodded towards his prisoner. "Is a friend of mine." At least, she was. He pushed her into the back room. "Emily." She spat at him. "That's not my name, mortal." He sighed, placing his hand on his forehead. Ariel, please give me patience. "Alright, well what is your name?" She grinned. "The Wrath of my Mother. Lobinka." He nodded slowly. Wrath... Huh? He folded his arms. "Well, Lobinka. Why are you still here? Why haven't you attacked us yet?" She turned away. "Oh, come on. You can't even brag about your mother's plan?" She kept a closed mouth. Eruan growled. He quickly tightened the ropes, then turned to leave. "You're staying here until I can come up with a good plan." He stared into her eyes. "And demon or human, I'll bring you back, Emily."

"Lobinka, huh. I remember you. You were that feisty one that put on a good show three months ago. You're pretty good in a fight." Set said. "I used to be one of you. Did Mother ever tell you about me? I was once one of her best operatives. But when I met Joanne, that all changed. She showed me that life was not about killing."

"Once." She said to Set, with plenty of Venom in her tone.

The angel was surprised at Joanne's confidence in her]
The men were confused. Who is that? WHAT is that? Is she an angel? A demon? A monster? They were too frightened to speak.

--Joanne--
Joanne said to Eulalia "Why don't you go inside? I'm sure Morrigan can handle the mob."
She then motioned to Yagami to follow her. "I want to make one thing clear: you broke me once, but you will not do it again."

"Broke you?" Yagami's face held a look of shock. "Why, my dear, I was only trying to help you see reason! Look at you. Your house should be a shrine! A palace, even! Yet you live in a commoner's home."

What do we do, Revel? Trevor asked. They were watching the action unfold from their spot in the tree.
I have an idea! Revel exclaimed. Here's what we are going to do...

--Joanne--
"Why is it any business of yours? Why should I care what an enemy thinks about how I live? I really don't have a home. My home is the world. And all are my brothers and sisters. Of course, I cannot expect you to understand that. You have no comprehension of love."
--Karin--
Karin's labor continued. Suddenly, Gorry noticed something.
"Hey! I think I see the head!" he said. "Keep it up, Karin!"

~Lobinka~

She could hear Karin in pain. She groaned. How am I supposed to get out of here? She glanced up, Eruan had walked in with a bag. "Maybe these will help you."

~Eruan~

He pulled a telescope out of his bag. "Remember this? You gave it to me on my birthday. Remember?" She shook her head. He pulled out a painting. "Remember the time you tried to paint Saphira?" She shook her head again. He growled. "You've forgotten everything. So how in Heilgrad am I supposed save you!?!?"
He slammed his head against a wall.

--Raphael--
Raphael was watching everything quietly. He overheard Eruan's complaint. "I understand what you're going through. I'm not sure if Joanne will approve of this, but I could look into her mind and see if Emily is still in there somewhere. No amount of brainwashing can completely erase the past."

~Eruan~

He sighed. "Raphael." He looked at the angel. "Please."

--Raphael--
"Keep in mind, I'm fairly new at this." Raphael warned. "I'm not sure what I'll find, if anything."
He walked over to Lobinka and said, "I'm not going to hurt you. I only wish to help." He placed his hands on her temples and concentrated.

~Lobinka~

She recoiled as Raphael entered her mind. She grimaced, forcing images of pain and suffering up as a mental barrier. You're not supposed to be here angel!

[Ally-Ann]

=Kleon=

Kleon stood outside the doorway, slightly turned away from Karin and her make-shift doulas. He may have seen a lot of things, but he knew it was best to give birthing women their privacy unless they said otherwise. Instead, he listened to the barely audible conversation going on a little ways away from him. Lobinka... Just give in. It is what's best. Kleon thought to himself.


=Chrysanthe and Annaliese=

Chrysanthe nodded. She took a gentle but reassuring hold of one of Karin's hands. "You're doing great, Karin," she coaxed. Annaliese nodded in agreement with Chrysanthe as she bent down infront of Karin's legs. She put her hands just underneath where the baby's head would enter the world, ready to cradle the head.

"All right, Karin. Next contraction, push, but push gently so that you won't tear," Annaliese coaxed gently. "After that, you'll only be a few minutes away from meeting your daughter."


=Eulalia=

Eulalia obeyed Joanne and walked towards the house. The last time I saw this place was when I was seven... Eulalia thought as she came upon the front door. She took a deep breath. She knocked a couple times before opening the door and entering.

"Why is it any business of yours? Why should I care what an enemy thinks about how I live? I really don't have a home. My home is the world. And all are my brothers and sisters. Of course, I cannot expect you to understand that. You have no comprehension of love."

Yagami gasped. "Of course I have! I was human, you know!" A faint smile crept up onto his face. "I still remember it." He fanned the thought away, though, and continued with a stern countenance. "The past is the past, though. Besides, love is as fleeting as a rose. Once you take the object from the beholder, they will find something else to fawn over." Yagami glanced at Joanne. "Surely, you have seen this before?"

ARE YOU INSANE?!?! Trevor screamed.
No. Revel replied. Just smart.
There are innocent people out there! They could get hurt!
Innocents? Revel scanned the mob, taking notice of the pitchforks. They don't look too innocent to me.
What if someone gets hurt?
No one will get hurt! It's not like we're setting the world on fire...

She stalked up behind Trevor and Revel. The two of you speak any louder, and you'll wake the dead. She glanced at the crowd below. Now, what were you planning? She ignored their surprised looks. Don't act so surprised. I don't want to hurt them, Her teeth bared in a snarl. But I won't let them hurt us.

Joanne saw Revel and Trevor. Whatever you're going to do, do it fast. We need to get rid of this mob.
--Karin--
Karin nodded and took Anna's advice. Within moments, Zoe slowly exited.
OOC: Ally or Diamond, either of you can cut the cord. Ally, Anna can do it and bless the child.

She forced up repeated images of deaths that she had seen, but they only seemed to help Raphael, because she remembered these deaths. They weren't by her hand. They were by a Rider's hand.

So you do remember a little bit. I wonder how much of this is real. Raphael said. I think I made it in!
When he arrived, he saw two versions of Emily. The real version, and Lobinka.

~Emily~

She blinked her eyes. This was the first time she had felt this way. The first time she had actually felt anything, in a long time. "Who are you?" She asked the Angel. Lobinka stepped in front of her. "He's an enemy. He's tried to kill you. He's friends with the one who destroyed our village."

--Joanne--
Joanne saw Revel and Trevor. Whatever you're going to do, do it fast. We need to get rid of this mob.

Revel smiled mischievously. Yes Ma'am!

Trevor got up onto Revel's back and murmured some words. Soon orange fire wrapped around them. Here we go. Trevor closed his eyes and pictured a giant dragon. The flames seemed to respond, and they soared into the sky. Claws and wings sprouted, and horns grew from a terrifying dragon's head.

The dragon raised a claw and slammed it in front of the crowd. "Go away!" it roared menacingly. The mob obeyed, unexpectedly. They dropped their pitchforks and ran off screaming. They failed to realize that the fiery dragon was not chasing them.

Oh yeah, baby! Revel shouted. Run back to your mamas! That's right! Don't mess with us!

[rocklobster]

--Joanne--
"Thank you, my son." said Joanne to Trevor.
"We'll finish this some other time." said Joanne to Yagami. "My sister has just given birth to her first child. You will not prevent me from being able to hold my niece for the first time."
She turned to Trevor. "Let's go, shall we?"
OOC: in your next post, have Trevor come in and see Karin has given birth. Maybe you could have him complain about having missed the whole thing.

[Ally-Ann]

=Chrysanthe, Kleon, Annaliese=

Annaliese's face brightened slightly as she pulled Zoe gently from Karin's body. She then cradled Zoe in one arm as she used her other hand's pinky finger to clear some of the fluid from the baby's mouth and nose. She frowned when the baby wouldn't cry, though. "Come on, little one, cry," she whispered, holding her breath. As if understanding Annaliese's plea, Zoe let out the shrill wail of a healthy newborn. Annaliese breathed a sigh of relief. "Had me worried there for a second," she said softly as she wiped the blood and amniotic fluid from the baby with a towel. She snipped Zoe's umbilical cord with a pair of scissors she ahd grabbed earlier, then tied the stub tightly with a small string of leather she ahd found. After the baby was clean, she walked to Karin's side and held Zoe out gently to her. "She's very healthy, Karin. Congratulations," Annaliese said with a smile.
Chrysanthe looked at the baby with wonder, eyes widened slightly. The baby reminded her of... innocence. A baby was as innocent as they come. "You did a great job, Karin," Chrysanthe said with a smile.

--Karin--
Karin burst into happy tears as she beheld her daughter and nursed her. "You're probably hungry after all that. Drink up!" she whispered. "Your name is Zoe. And I am your mother." She looked up at Anna. "Thank you for your help. You're a natural."
At that moment, Joanne came in. "Well, leave it to Yagami to ruin a beautiful moment. Sorry I missed it, sister."
Karin shook her head. "Don't worry about it. She's here now." Then she looked up at everyone else. "So, who wants to hold her first after she finishes?"
--Raphael--
Raphael said, "Emily, I need your help. Do you really want this person in charge of you? Do you really want this much blood on your hands?"

~Lobinka~

Emily frowned, "Do I?" Lobinka grabbed her by the throat, and kicked Raphael in the chest, knocking him out of her mind. She ripped open her bonds, then ran into the room. She stopped to look at the newborn and her mother. She hesitated for a second. Do I really want to do this? Yes, you do. We still have our own mother to take care of. And maybe this newborn will accept our queen as her mother as well.

~Eruan~

He watched as Raphael faltered. He glanced over at Lobinka, who ripped out of her bonds. Please don't... He drew his sword.
She pushed past him, running into the main room. He noticed she hesitated. Come on, Emily! Shadow's bent around her, obscuring her from view.
