Wow, I had no idea. That's pretty cool.

You know, I quite like it when anime directors and writers decide to put actual locations in their work. Not only does it convey their love for a particular place/time/movement but it also shows that they care about their anime project as well.

The public library got the whole collection of Dragon Ball Z movies and I'm going through the ones I hadn't seen before. Man, some of them are real crap, not even delivering the cheap thrills that made me love the series to bits in spite of all its blatant stupidity.

Yeah those two are among the ones I had already watched and two of the best, as they deal with mostly canonical events actually related to the series, as opposed to introducing a random monster inserted at a place in continuity where makes little sense. Next I'll watch the Broly trilogy which I've been meaning to watch since I first saw the series.

Finished both Toradora! & Kimi ni Todoke seasons 1 & 2 and ef- a tale of melodies.

That was a big spree. Kimi ni Todoke wins for being the cutest and all around best. But ef- tale of melodies. Wow, that one really kept me on the edge of my seat. Definitely psychological. I enjoyed it.

I think I'm about ready to take another break though.

Episode 342 of Bleach. I've been ignoring it since October. But! Now that the end is in sight, I will finish this. I've made it this far. Not to mention that I'm returning to my "I can get enjoyment out of Bleach" mood again. (it fluctuates between "Ugh" and "happy place.")

Recently, I discovered my library had Millennium Actress. I enjoyed the other two Satoshi Kon movies I've seen (Tokyo Godfathers, Parika), so I immediately picked it up. This one's definitely my favorite. Art and animation were as fun as ever, and the story--both the plot itself and the way it unfolded--went beyond my expectations.

It was a delight all around, and is now my second-favorite anime film (Summer Wars being #1).

Watched the first episode of Jellyfish Princess in the dub. Didn't mind it at all, and it was just as funny as I remembered.

Also watched episode 19 of Persona 4. Didn't find it super funny, but I still love all the characters. (Does anyone know if this is going to be one of those indefinitely airing anime...?)

And...the first episode of Tokyo Majin. I told myself I was going to finish stuff before starting something new, but I've had the weirdest urge to watch this for a long time. Enjoyed it immensely.

I just discovered a show called Monsuno....and I LIKE it so far! The cool thing is, it's anime, yet...IT WAS IN ENGLISH FIRST! According to Wikipedia, it hasn't premiered in Japan yet. It kinda reminds me of Pokemon, only with more action. Sure it's a kid show, but I am a kid at heart. So even though it's on the cheesy side, I think that's another reason why I get a kick out of it. I wonder who the Japanese voices will be in the future!

Episode 5 of Black Rock Shooter.
I feel like a wall was broken that not ought be. Not sure if I've invested enough emotion in this to care though.
EDIT: And...the Internet was working last night! Yay!

Episodes 16-18 of Guilty Crown.

To which I say, "What the heck? meh. whatever."

Episodes 2-6 of Tokyo Majin. Hehe. Enjoying this immensely. Though I'd prefer it if they focused on a different character than Aoi...

Watched episodes 3-4 of Claymore. Despite the violence, I really like this show. Plus, sometimes it's all done in the dark where it's hard to see, which helps. I also loved the ending of the 4th episode. Very moving ^.^

If you are not a fan of the anime ending, then check out the manga. It is pretty good, and, well, the anime-original ending is not great, IMO.

Neo Getter Robo vs. Shin Getter Robo (thanks, Doc!) - It was awesome. I went in knowing next to nothing about Getter Robo, and now, I know it's made of giant robots piloted by borderline psychopaths who are also karate experts, and cyborg dinosaurs. Fine by me. I had the same problem with it that I did with Giant Robo, that it expected you to know something about the many characters imported from elsewhere it's throwing at you, but again, like Giant Robo, it's easy enough to pick up on them as you go. So, yeah, pretty cool stuff.

Finished The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya season 1 and 2.
I love this show! It blends three of my favorite genres together, and it's totally awesome in the process. (Sci fi, comedy, high school) Yuki is super cute and awesome, I was not expecting her to be so cool. Seriously. I actually like Haruhi, which surprises me, since I normally hate those type of obnoxious characters. I don't really like Mikuru, not just because she's the main source of fan service, but I got really tried of her crying all the time. (I do still feel bad for her when Haruhi 'plays' with her... but I have gotten just a tad fed up with Asahina. [Sorry, Kyon, thats just how I feel.])
Koizumi is also a rather cool character. (Literally.) I like him.
And as for Kyon, well, he's now in my list of top five anime guys. He's definitely my favorite sarcastic character from anything, ever.
(And I might just love him. ;))

Season 1 10/10
Season 2 8/10
(Endless Eight wasn't so bad. I mean, I only started hating it after more then six episodes of it.)

I can't wait to get started on the movie. ;D

Even though I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23

Last Exile ep 17.
I seriously don't understand why there has been so much previous hate for this show. I mean, the graphics/artistry aren't the greatest, but it's definitely a lot better than others I've seen.

Also, I've decided I pretty much end up liking any character that Crispin Freeman plays as. Whether he's a good or bad character. Doesn't matter, he just automatically becomes my favorite character of the show. Haha. Alex Rowe is my favorite, and here are some of the other show's he's played in that were my also favorite characters.

WHR - Amon = Favorite character.
Scryed - Straight Cougar = Favorite character.
DRRR!!! - Shizuo = Favorite character.
Scrapped Princess - Shannon Casull = Favorite character.

Yeah, you get the idea. ^_^

Ouran Highschool Host Club 14-26

The second half of the series was of much higher quality plot-wise as it delved in each character's motivations, and a couple of them even showed some growth. It still had a few mediocre episodes and manage to slid one last odious Lobelia tale. However, for yet another of them shoujo series with a noncommittal conclusion (as I totally knew it would be from ep 1!) OHHC's ending was surprisingly satisfactory and the only really outstanding question was "Why on the world they needed Studio BONES to animate this?" Not that they tried too hard, mind you.

Solid 7 out of 10.
