Finished Last Exile.

Wow, I never thought I could hate a character so much. I am so unsatisfied right now. Arghhh!!!
Alex dies? What the heck!! And by Sophia no less!!! SO SAD! I hate sad endings. At least Mullen didn't die though, and I guess Dio survives? But STILL! Alex was my favorite!!! Also, I think that Vincent & Sophia should get married, NOW! But it probably doesn't happen. Not even in the second series.
Thanks, I managed to get through it all. She FINALLY did it! I just wanted to smack her so much.

@Juliannesan - The new Last Exile is set in an alternate universe to the first series. So, even though several of the characters from the first series show up, they don't have the history or backstory contained in LE1. The main characters of the series do not feature at all in the first show.

Yeah, I kind of gathered that after reading the synopsis to the second series.
That's sad in itself too! But I guess there really wouldn't be much they could add to that kind of ending in LE1. Still! I would have liked to have known what happens to Vincent & Sophia and others. I mean, they had Mullen covered pretty well, and the main characters. But yeah, anyway. Just wishful thinking on my part. :/

Eh?
It's set on a different planet, but it's the same universe as the first series. I mostly just skimmed through it for new scenes, but did you watch any of the episode where Dio and Alvis recap the first series? There's also an "interquel" manga series that apparently tells what happens to the first series characters in-between the two series.

Although, I'll agree the two plots are mostly disconnected.

Finished the first season of Tokyo Majin. I enjoyed it through the end despite its lack of clarity in subplots, rather a lot of profanity (in the dub), focusing on one of my least favorite characters and being, well, more...religiously off/magick-y...than I tend to lean toward. I've been able to find very little on this anywhere, so I'll be writing a review up for it soon.

Watched episodes 1 and 2 of Bamboo Blade. First impressions: Eh. I see absolutely nothing noteworthy to this series. Male lead is utterly unlikeable, one of the female leads is obnoxious, 0 production values and for an anime centered on kendo the choreography of the actual kendo fights suck. It's funny, I guess, but coming off Ouran which was rolling-on-the-floor hilarious, this show obtained a only couple smirks from me. I guess I'll keep watching until all the main characters are introduced before giving up.

It actually gets pretty good. I own the series, so I would know:P But granted, it's not the funniest show in the world, but it has its moments, and it can be quite charming, I would deffinitely try and stick it out a little longer:)

Right now I'm watching DtB and liking it allot more than I thought I would, it's pretty good:) Also watching Shakugan no Shana, but it rather bores me, but still, it's pretty good, so we'll see where it goes:)

As Cianter says, it's best to stick through it. It's not the GREATEST show in the world, definitely not as funny as Ouran, but it's still decent. Tamaki the girl is cute. She's mainly why I watched the series. ^_^

ANN claimed that it was an AU sort of thing, but perhaps their writer was mistaken. Which episode was that recap?

They also never mentioned space travel existing, so I'm not sure how half of the original cast would have made it to another planet, let alone the same planet.

I haven't seen Fam, but IIRC,
the whole plan to find Exile and activate it using Alvis and the 4 mysteria was to clear the Grand Stream so the Exile (which was a colony starship) could fly back to wherever it came from (most likely the Earth, the "blue star" of the fourth mysteria.)
EDIT: whoops

The official number is #15.5 Second adjournment.

And I believe Maokun's correct about the purpose of the Exiles in the original series, although now we are getting into untagged Last Exile spoilers...

Soul Eater 1-5
Very Halloween-y. I really am liking it, though.
Also, after four episodes I finally realized Tamaki Suoh = Death Scythe, right down to the whole "father" thing, English VA's, and wacky personality. ^.^

Finished my rewatch of Princess Jellyfish, and then watched some of the extras. I'm not normally a huge fan of extras, but I really liked the "Jellyfish heroes" minisodes, especially the one with Shu and Hanamori.

Watching Full Moon wo Sagashite.
I had put this one on hold for awhile but I've picked it up again and I'm super glad a did.
It's actually very relaxing for me to watch, the episodes just fly by, (I'm at episode 16) and I absolutely love Takuto.

Two words: KEEP WATCHING :thumb:
Morita never fails to get a laugh out of me, and the story overall is just cute :n_n: 'Nuff said.

Watched Stein's Gate episodes 4-9
AHHH! They need to stop messing with time! Out of curiousity, does anyone know if this anime is based off the movie "The Butterfly Affect" or do they simply explore the same priciple? I actually did not appreciate that movie at all, but so far this anime is hilarious and fascinating :) Basically... LOVE the mad scientist and his way of life  Lol, and "Christina!" continues to be one of my favorites ;) Overall, thoroughly enjoying it :thumb:

Watched Bamboo Blade 3-13 (Got the first two DVDs from the library.) Episode 3 started great giving some depth to one of the characters raising my hopes for a compelling character-driven story but they turned out to be empty hopes. In 13 episodes (which constitute half of the series) the characters have hardly experienced any growth beyond their caricaturesque archetypes: Little kendo prodigy is predictably undefeatable and an otaku, obnoxious neko-smile is obnoxious and silly, boin-boin is a sycophantic copy of neko-smile, megane is a ridiculous klutz and miya-miya is quickly eroding through whatever little depth her hidden "dark" personality granted her. The only character to experience a smidge of growth is sensei, but not enough to make him any likeable yet.

The series is not bad but it's nothing remarkable either and whatever little comedy it brought to the table has been beaten mercilessly out of the running gags. For a series focused in a contact sport, the coreographies and animation is utterly lacking. It's not intelligent, it doesn't have any compelling conflict and it's atrociously paced. It has heart, but it is small and shy and beats slowly and irregularly.

If I stumble upon the second half in the library I'll likely pick it up, but I definitely won't despair if I don't ever see it. I have to say i'm really surprised it got so many votes in both "Best Anime of the Year" threads in which it participated.
