Gintama is the best! :thumb:
I should watch it more often again. It's not really where my focus is at the moment, but it is one of my random spontaneous animes. <3

But what I am currently watching is:

Sket Dance.

New Prince Of Tennis

Fairy tail.

Pretty Cure – Smile.

Chihayafuru.

The Knight in the Area.

Started the anime One Piece.

And slowly watching Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle. (I love puzzles, but some reason this anime is being hard to get through.)

Oh. That's because it's a children's anime, and most kids think farts are funny at some point

D.Gray-man episode 44 - The akuma for this one was really funny!

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica episode 9 - I tried out this random episode to see what the tone of this show was like. I think I'll watch it, but will have to wait for a while before starting it so I'll forget the spoilers (this really does work, trust me!).

FMA: Brotherhood episodes 42-45 - And now everything will just go crazy right up to the end ^_^
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

That's bananas... you were one episode off of "randomly" ruining one of the best shows in years for yourself forever.

Seriously, this method is super bad for a show like this. Because you will see things in this show you will remember for a VERY long time.

Why would you do THAT?! Seriously, I have to echo with all of the previous members that this method is REALLY, really bad.

As for me, I just finished Nayuta. A completely insane and inspiring low-budget retro title.

You don't just get a good kick out of watching an anime when you skip to random episodes. When you watch an anime, you're supposed to be developing a relationship with these wonderful characters. Skipping towards near the end is ruining the experience.

Secondly, I think the first two episodes help define the mood.

Anyways, I've been watching the original Hunter X Hunter. It's much better than the new one. It has actually decently paced, characters are shown to have more deph, etc.

I figured I would start watching 2011 edition of Hunter X Hunter. I thought the older one would be much etter, but it's really just longer. I'm still gonna watch the old one, but I've grown so attached to the 2011 one I can't just ditch it.

Anyways, I'm on episode episode 19. Man, I love the theme song. Always gets me into it.

Finished the 25th episode of Hunter X Hunter. Man, it just seems to be getting better and better.

But I think I'll skip the recap >_>

So EVOL,
Ep 13 must have been the best episode so far. We have a big battle, some good development of the plot and a great sacrifies or first victim of the war.
Other Robot Anime I am watching: Tekkaman Blade is awesome.
Betterman is a bizarre mix of Patlabor and The X-Files and is a horror anime with some robots thrown in.
Only Betterman can make the act of eating scary. [This show is not blood and gore horror, but more in an Alfred Hitchcock vein.]
Also, this is one of those anime in which you MUST pay attention to what the characters say.

Also, Zegapain is still so awesome.

Watched the first two episodes of Star Driver. It was pretty good, but I didn't really detect much of a plot.

Watched most of the first episode of Windy Tales. I could not take it, I didn't even want to see the ending. I had to stop it.

Ga Rei Zero

Well, this was an unexpectedly affecting series. The director of Fate Zero helms another dark, supernatural action show. This one is a prequel to a manga called Ga Rei, and it is about girls who kill zombies, demons and ghosts. As Hat points out, they occasionally use such exotic weaponry as the iron. Yes, this show can be funny, too. In fact, it supports a couple of different moods fairly well. The best thing about it, though, is the action. Randomly, this prequel to a manga of middling(?) popularity seemed to get a pretty big budget, and it shows right from the off. There is an indelible scene early on featuring a motorcycle-riding lady dispatching zombies with said motorcycle, while riding. It is awesome. And, when the show wants you to be sad, it does a decent job, though at times I did feel a wee bit like I was being emotionally manipulated rather than witnessing something truly tragic.

Problems. Again, Hats hit on the biggest one. The show's main conceit is to show the origin of a certain character from the manga, specifically how she became evil. This character is a great good guy, and a great bad guy, but the series can't quite pull off the heel turn in a way that feels authentic. They needed a few more episodes to illustrate the character wavering and create patterns of behavior from other characters that make this character's choice seem like something a real person would choose in similar circumstances. The whole bit felt very Star Wars III.

However, I still think it's a good show and would recommend it to action fans who can handle copious amounts of violence/blood and some yuri innuendo.

Busou Shinki Moon Angel

Anyone looking for a solid-enough 40 minute distraction? You could do worse than this Konami video game tie in show.

The deal is that Shinkis are super popular toys that people use to battle each other, Pokemon style. You buy 'em, build 'em, customize 'em. The main character, a lonely primary-school transfer student, is too poor to buy one, but stumbles upon a damaged one that he is able to repair. They become great freinds, and he enjoys not only battling with her but having her company as well. However, there is something more than meets the eye to this Shinki...

I normally don't like to use one show to describe another, but Moon Angel is pretty much a short version of Angelic Layer for dudes. The differences are that the dolls have power suits like those in Infinite Stratos (the only good thing about that show) and they remain sentient even when not engaged in combat. Oh, the combat! Wow! The battle animation is super slick. Lots of flying around, swinging sword and using rapid-fire weapons. This stuff is essentially the only reason to watch the show, as the story, characters, etc. are inoffensive but ultimately forgettable.

If you want to see some cool fight sequences without committing to a long series, then look into this harmless little ONA.

I just started watching Mushi-Shi. I've been meaning to watch it for a while. My brother has already seen it 3 times over. He says it helps him sleep at night.

I've also been rewatching Inuyasha. I had only seen random episodes of it on TV over the years so I decided I'd try and watch it all the way thru. It's not bad but I think if I hear Kagome say, "Inuyasha" one more time I'll... :comp:
