Clannad episodes 11-13 - I am loving the Ichinose arc. I think it's really bringing out Tomoya's incredible selflessness, especially in the last episode I saw.

Watched Nanoha A's movie after a very long wait. As much as I loved glorious Seven Arcs' animation, it falls short of the original series. Guess that was to be expected though, and first movie still the best. Now I wait for Lyrical Party V to announce next project.

Night On The Galactic Railroad movie (sub):

This was quite interesting. For one thing, it had the slowest pace I've ever seen in an anime; but, actually, for this particular story, that *really* worked! For another, some of it was a little weird, even very-slightly creepy (though not in a bad way!); and yet other parts were just beautiful. (Also, I do have to admit that while I got the obvious things right away, I'm quite sure that I didn't get the full meaning of a lot of the rest of it {yet}. It's definitely one to think about.)

Overall, it was just so darn intriguing (and, in the end, moving)-- SPOILER: Highlight text to read: and, of course, had such a great self-sacrifice theme as well-- that it was definitely a great watch.

That is such a good movie. The part when they see the glowing cross and there's a singing choir in the background...that image will stay with me forever.

I teleported to Saiunkoku for the weekend. I love the voices on the English dub, especially the king's.

The Nanoha A's movie: best aerial combat of the past year with the possible exception of Gundam UC, but I think I prefer the TV version of the story.

I'm mostly on track with Magi now and watching Tamako Market in bits and pieces. Next I'll try catching up with Jojo's and From the New World (and Blast of Tempest if I manage to not keep forgetting about it).

I recently finished Full Metal Panic season one, I was not particularly satisfied with it. I think the two main reasons for this were A) it had a poor (IMHO) ending and B) I watched it sporadically over a rather long period of time, including watching the first section of the finale a couple of weeks before I picked it back up and finished it.

I think it's a decent show, and my erratic oft-delayed watching did not do it justice.

In other news Magi is wonderful, and I'm waiting for CR to get the rest of panzer.

Clannad episode 14 - I felt like I was supposed to cry, but I didn't :P Some of the stuff felt a liiiiitle convenient, such as SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Ichinose's parents going to such lengths to send her the bear, as if knowing ahead of time that they were going to die.

Oh, and I also watched Grave of the Fireflies. Again. And I cried at the "Brother, don't leave me!" part. Again :waah!:

Almost finished the first season of the first FMA. It's amazing how many clips from AMVs I found in the first three episodes.

Now I'm in the throes of The Story of Saiunkoku. I just realized that the voice of the boss of the seiking gang also plays Wolverine in X-men Evolution. That's also where Ryuki's voice comes from.

Well, LWA really was one of the best things this year. Kind of reminded me of Kyousogiga.

Eureka Seven ep.'s 1-50 (complete, sub):

I loved this-- the art style (and color scheme ;) ), the animation (especially during those fights!), the music, the setting, the epic sky surfing, the characters SPOILER: Highlight text to read: (well, minus Dewey :P ), their relationships, the plot, all of it! :jump: SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Also, it's amazing how likeable (or at least pitiable, in Anemone's case) a lot of the antagonists are-- for example, I actually downright loved Dominic  ; and Ray and Charles were pretty darn likeable as well.

Also, the plot got quite a bit darker :pikka: -- and also more epic-- than I had been expecting, but that's definitely not a complaint! :thumb: And while I won't deny that I wish there had been a little bit more of an epilogue with everyone else (more than just the little bit with the grandfather/kids, a very quick glimpse of Dominic/Anemone, and Renton/Eureka standing around in the woods :P ... I mean, like with the rest of the crew and etc.), that ending was still pretty great. :)

Case Closed is adorable, and had some very good cases. I am getting a little tired of all the episodic business. I want to get more on Conan/Jimmy, not just cases and solving. They had a lot of that early on, and then it just dropped out of the picture.

Little Witch Academia (sub):

Indeed, this was great. :) The story was simple, but cute and well-paced; and the animation was beautiful, exciting, and excellent.

I think Sora no Woto had a great premise and an interesting world, but it just fell flat at the end. Of course, I might be biased because I was a trumpet player in a military marching band...

I didn't think the ending was all that bad, but the other legend felt a little bit shoehorned, for SPOILER: Highlight text to read: something that looked by the evidence to be more accurate than the first one given.
All in all, I enjoyed it. Pretty clean, but a bit morose.

I'm plowing through Phi-Brain's second season. So glad it's almost over. Everything after the first half of the show is just painful to watch. :(

Why would you do that to yourself? Are you going to watch season 3 too? :shake:

Clannad episode 15 - Sunohara is as funny as ever, but I'm a bit apprehensive as to how this latest joke is going to play out.
