So today, I finally watched the Director's Cut version of episodes 20-24 of NGE. It definitely enhanced the experience, since I felt that the original cuts felt rushed and condensed; this made them feel more full and understandable (to a point; there were still many things left confusing). I'm gonna be renting the movie, as well as 1.11 from Netflix, so I can't wait!

Steins;Gate is good! The first few episodes may seem a bit slow, but stick with it! The overall show is amazing!

I'm currently watching Soul Eater. I didn't really like it at first (thanks to the content in the first 3 episodes), but it eventually grew on me and I was hooked by episode 7. Soul Eater has become one of my favorite animes.

Yesterday, I marathoned all 11 episodes of Bunny Drop. This was a really cute series; just wish it was a little longer.

I'm not surprised. That's a great series. I agree about the length. I could have watched a couple more seasons of that.
Unfortunately, I hear that the manga goes in some bad directions, later on, so I'm glad they didn't follow it that far, but if they could have made more of the same kind of thing as the 11 episodes they made, that would have been precious.

I've been watching mostly Mawaru Penguindrum and Eccentric Family and rewatching Eureka Seven.

Marathoned 男子高校生の日常 (Nichibros) and Kokoro Connect. They were both wonderful. I can't decide if Nichibros' depiction of girls is realistic or not.

If it was written by living, breathing people, I'm gonna say probably not.

I've been watching Bobobobobobo(The Dub), Hetalia:Axis Powers (The Sub), Welcome to the NHK! (The Sub), and Lucky Star (The Dub).
I like all four of them so far.

Tried AoT for the like...the third time. It's just not clicking at all.
The only characters I like are the potato girl and the bald guy D:
I realize it's supposed to be emotional and stuff but, it's just kind of like "Oooohh, that person's dead now...huh" I don't really have any reason I can find to care enough about the characters D:
So obviously there's something wrong with me, because everyone I've ever talked to ever has loved this show XD;;

I've been watching the third season of Hajime no Ippo. I'm really enjoying Kamogawa's back story set after WWII. They need to make a separate movie for it!

Through episode 3 of another, first off I am NOT a horror guy, but this show is pretty compelling so i can put up with the blood. So far the only sexual content really was a topless doll that was more creepy than anything...and I'm terrified of umbrellas now

Nah, there's nothing wrong with you. I kind of hated it. I did end up watching it all the way through, but simply because apparently the suspense and intrigue kept me going. Though I guess we disliked it for different reasons. Armin is my favorite, and I was always sad when people died. No, it was the gore and just like...expecting everybody to die all the time, that I didn't like. It was just really depressing and not enjoyable, in my opinion. And I thought there were other, less creepy and disturbing ways they could have created an atmosphere of terror and mortal danger. *shrug*
So, regardless of differences, you're not the only one. XD

Well i finished "another" anime(ya that pun was horrible) anywho it wasn't the best show but it was still good. It actually really surprised me how much I liked it as I, again, do not like horror, but it was pretty compelling right up to the end and actually had me on the edge of my seat, i thought the ending was a tad rushed but forgivable. All in all "another" gets the LastLfan seal of approval!

Ok! Since the last time I posted on here, I've watched...

The rest of Code Geass R2 (Dubbed)

My GOSH I loved that! And just when I was starting to hate Lelouch, they pull that ending. SPOILER: Highlight text to read: I kind of had a feeling something was up for both Lelouch and Suzaku to change like that and suddenly team up. At the same time though, I hated how Lelouch treated his sister but then when it turned out all to be a plan (which I kinda half felt like it was) I was like 'LELOUCH!' He sacrificed himself to make everyone think he was evil and he actually (in a very difficult, drawn out, and complicated way) made people get along...a little bit. And then Suzaku became the hero! And I'm DEFINETLY sure Lelouch's still alive. Anyway, pretty epic!

The rest of Tsubasa s2 (Subbed)

Oh, this is just too cute! Just as good as the first season just pretty tedious with the pacing at times. I'm now up to volume 6 of the manga!

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled OVAs 1 and 2

Even though I like the story of the main Code Geass show better, the tone and feel as well as the art I think is better in these OVAs. They feel like you're watching an actual live-action movie! I also like SPOILER: Highlight text to read: that they're focusing more on the EU here. This gives you a real good look at the world they're portraying here and I absolutely love the beautiful way they show Europe. That art :pikka: I can't wait the third one now!

Tsubasa: The Princess in the Birdcage Kingdom (Movie-Subbed)

I actually liked this even more than the main show. It felt more like the manga--faster pacing, prettier art, more expression from the characters--I loved it! SPOILER: Highlight text to read: And that Syaoran X Sakura moment in the barrel...too KAWAII! :n_n:

Neon Genesis Evangelion Eps 1-13 (Dubbed)

I actually kind of like this show. The first episode threw me off because the pacing was so...I don't know. It took me a few episodes to wrap my head around the story and now I really like it. I don't understand why Shinji and Asuka are so hated by fans because I actually kind of like them (though I really wouldn't want to hang out with a girl like Asuka. I would feel like slapping her after the first five minutes but as a character I love her!) The animation in the show is absolutely gorgeous too! And for this to have come out in 1995? I'm definitely gonna have to watch more older anime. The feel they give off is just so nostalgic.

Kuroko no Basuke Eps 1-6

I decided to pick my next anime by writing a bunch of animes down on pieces of paper, having my mom mix them up, and I watch whatever I draw...and it was KnB. At first I though, 'this should be interesting. The only sports anime I've seen was Free! and I thought that was cute but I couldn't really see myself getting into something about basketball'. Well, I watched the first six eps last night and...I like it so far. Five minutes into the first episode and I fell in love with Kuroko! His disappearing/reappearing act is hilarious! The coach is tons of fun and I love how quirky everyone is. My favorite part so far? The whole 'Japanese lunch time rush!' scene! :XD: All in all, I really like this one!

Hataraku Maou-sama. I absolutely loved this show, but I really really really didn't like the theme. I mean...*sigh* call me weird or nitpicky, but it just gave me this uncomfortable feeling the whole way through that really took away from the show for me. Maybe I'm silly for taking an anime seriously, but it irks me for someone to name and model a charismatic, heroic protagonist after the most wicked vile being in the universe, and the destroyer of humanity. But that's just me.
But other than that, really enjoyed it. I mean, the story idea was good and intriguing, turning a villain into a good guy, but I just wish they'd used a different villain.

That's actually why I never bothered to watch this show, despite the nagging of a friend. (Most people will watch a show and then a drop it if it offends them or if it's otherwise terrible. I'm the opposite. I won't ever start a show if I don't want and will ALWAYS see it through to the end.) I don't think it's silly of you. That said, it's worth watching anyway, huh? :poke: Might give it a try.

^ Well, while the characters' names/etc. are certainly a bit suspect (which is also part of the joke  ), and they're still called 'demons'/etc., it uses a different (fantasy) mythology, though. Personally, I can say that I loved the show and thought it was hilarious. To each their own, however. :)

Forgot to post about this the other day-- Makoto Shinkai's Z-Kai: Cross Road ad (thanks to the Global Shinkai Day festivities at Crunchyroll):

This was astonishingly good for a 2-minute ad. (It might also have been the happiest-/most-hopeful-outcome he's ever done in terms of romance, too, which when you've only got two minutes to work with is really saying something, LOL. ) Anyway, I'd love to see a proper movie of this. (Not that that's happening, though... )
Saved by grace.
