Also, i just started Soul Eater, pretty good so far...
Watched the first couple of episodes of Attack on Titan, not exactly my cup of tea.
And finally, Squid Girl! Nothing but pure silliness, but still so funny!

Now, all that said, both the plot and (especially) the antagonist were really quite simple; however, it wasn't really necessary for this to be complex, since the two main characters + the entire concept/premise were plenty fascinating enough to carry the film on their own (and the world itself + the SPOILER: Highlight text to read: twist at the end were great, too). In other words: I loved it!
GeneD wrote:I agree about the simplicity of the movie and how it's not necessarily a bad thing. Though, I need an explanation about SPOILER: Highlight text to read: the "twist"/what happened at the end. Is the "planet" or whatever flat that they basically came out the other side of it? Also, about the "place" Patema and Age ended up when they fell through the sky, what was keeping all those buildings and things up there? These are things I wondered about while watching so it's a bit disappointing not to get a proper explanation.
MangaRocks! wrote: SPOILER: Highlight text to read: Nope. The twist was that, #1, *everyone*-- of both gravity-orientations-- had been underground the whole time since the disaster; and #2, when they broke through to the surface of their planet at the end, the 'inverted' were actually the ones who had the proper gravity (i.e., Age's people were actually the true 'inverted'-- hence crazy-dude flying off into space). As for the buildings that Patema and Age landed on before that, it's implied that that was one big life-support system/sky-simulator. Here's a diagram someone made that sorts it out (not to scale, obviously, LOL, but helpful ).
